Turning discarded spoons into lamp decor

Two very interesting spoon lamps, made by welding Japanese stainless steel spoons together with the "strainer ladle" commonly seen at snack stalls in Hong Kong, China, plus energy-saving light bulbs. After the lights are turned on, the hanging spoons advance layer by layer to form circles from large to small, giving off a beautiful silver glow.

Old newspapers and old magazine pages should not be thrown away. They can be turned into one storage box after another, used to hold leftover soap scraps beside the sink.

Old wooden stakes discarded after logging in the village were picked back up, repainted, topped with potted plants, and set beside two rattan chairs, turning into natural decor for the home.

The balcony is the domain of old furniture. An old fishing net was repainted, paired with a chain, and hung on a withered peach tree, forming natural decor.

Ask a friend who sells liquor for some spare empty liquor boxes. These boxes are made of wood and can be used for DIY projects. Some of them were nailed to the wall and turned into shelves with storage and display functions.

Discarded wooden ladders and old wooden boards were nailed back together into a multi-tier flower rack, then sprayed with white paint, becoming a practical and beautiful balcony storage rack. Various cute small potted green plants are placed in it. The fresh and cozy balcony corner makes people feel relaxed and happy, and all the pressure and worries from work are released.

When moving house, Jingyi's dressing table got damp from water, so the table legs all rotted. After cutting off a small section from each of the four table legs and repainting it, the dressing table was used as a coffee table in the living room of the new home.

Two double-door shoe cabinets were combined into one large shoe cabinet. A wooden board from an old coat rack was taken out and glued on top, then painted with distressed white paint, and old items brought back from travels are displayed on the shoe cabinet.

A storage cabinet was turned into a TV cabinet. The original storage cabinet had a total of five "holes", and drawers for each could be found at IKEA. Buy the matching set and assemble it, and it becomes a super-large-capacity "TV cabinet".

Isn't it impressive to turn a bookshelf into a display shoe cabinet? Yue removed the shelf above the bookshelf and installed it on the two-door storage cabinet below. The upper part became a display area, and the lower part became a four-tier shoe rack.

An old sewing machine was draped with a newly sewn cover made by hand, and a worn cardboard box was wrapped in new wrapping paper with "Xiaopin Ji" written on it. The old cardboard box became a small categorized storage box.

Because it is an old-style house, the kitchen and living room are connected, and there is a small window above the wall, which is not very attractive. Ami sewed a curtain from tie-dyed black linen cloth, cleverly hiding the window. Paired with small ornaments and a sideboard, it creates the visual focal point of the dining area.

The back of the old sofa had several tears scratched by the cat. Daka laid a printed cloth brought back from a trip to Yunnan over the backrest of the sofa, which both covers the cracked leather sofa and serves as a "cat scratcher" for the beloved cat.

The two shoe racks at the entrance were redecorated with hand-sewn fabric crafts. A Japanese-style fabric curtain found at the train station was added to the outside of the simple large shoe rack, and the low shoe rack was covered with fine red-and-white checkered cloth, adding a strong touch of everyday life.

Several coarse cloth blue printed cushions were all made by Dingzi herself, adding a great deal of clearly defined main color tone to this space.
