"Three years to master watering" - learning to water is the first step in learning to grow flowers.

"Dry jasmine, wet chrysanthemum" is a true saying about flower care passed down from the ancients, and it very concisely summarizes the rules for watering jasmine and chrysanthemums. When many people fail at growing flowers, with yellowing leaves, wilting, and no blooming, a major reason is improper watering in daily care!

How exactly should jasmine and chrysanthemums be watered? Let's take a look!

Dry jasmine

"Dry jasmine" means jasmine should be managed on the drier side. Remember the watering principle: "dry but not white on the surface, wet but not muddy."

In everyday jasmine care, wait until the potting soil is slightly dry before watering, but do not let the jasmine potting soil dry until it turns white; water in small amounts and multiple times, and do not water jasmine heavily after a long dry period. Water only until the jasmine potting soil is moist, and do not let water accumulate.

Wet chrysanthemum

"Wet chrysanthemum" means keeping the potting soil moist when caring for chrysanthemums. In spring, when chrysanthemum seedlings are small, do not water heavily; each time, water only until the potting soil is moist. In early summer, which is the growth period for chrysanthemums, plus the hot weather, chrysanthemums consume a lot of water, so observe the dryness and moisture of the potting soil often. You can water once in the morning and once in the evening, and use a spray bottle to mist the air around the chrysanthemums to keep the air moist.

In autumn, chrysanthemums enter their full bloom period, consuming a lot of water and nutrients, so increase the amount of watering and fertilize in time. You can use a flower-promoting organic nutrient solution diluted with water to water the flowers, replenishing the chrysanthemums' nutrients in one go. In winter, chrysanthemums enter dormancy, so gradually reduce the amount of watering, keep the potting soil moist, and simply use a spray bottle for daily misting.

Watering is a systematic, long-term learning process. Besides grasping the overall principles, you also need to adjust the amount of watering appropriately according to the plant's growth condition and the region where the plant is located. Only "customized care" can make plants grow well!
