Do cacti need watering? Many people get it wrong

Cacti are famously easy to grow, and on top of that they can protect against radiation, so they are favored by many people. But everyone shares one misconception: because it is a drought-tolerant plant, it does not need much watering.
But in the end this causes the leaves to rot, or even death. In fact, cacti not only need watering, but there is also a real art to it, with different watering methods in different seasons.
Point one, watering in spring and autumn. In spring and autumn there is almost no shortage of moisture in the air, and cacti can absorb water and nutrients from the air through their own leaves, so there is no need to water them too often, once every two weeks is enough.
If you water too much, it will die. Point two, watering in summer. Summer weather is hot and the air is extremely dry, so it is best to water once a week; if the weather is very dry indeed, water once every 5 to 6 days.
If it is placed under an air conditioner, it is best to water once every ten days. Point three, watering in winter. In winter the temperature is relatively low and a large amount of mist still remains in the air, so no watering is needed.
But the soil still keeps evaporating, so to keep the roots well supplied with water, usually watering once every two months is enough. If you want to learn more little tips on growing flowers, you are welcome to click and follow us. Thank you for watching, more exciting content is waiting for you!
