I am a cancer patient and have been through eight courses of chemotherapy. During my most painful time, I saw these lovely succulents, bought a few pots to grow and see, and unexpectedly fell in love with them as soon as I started growing them. I became fascinated by them, thinking that I must live to see their beauty through the four seasons. After seeing the four seasons, I wanted to see their weathered beauty as they grew into old plants. In this way, I kept encouraging myself to keep living, as long as I have you by my side all along the way.
