Pilea cadierei is known as the "cooking fume killer," with a certain ability to absorb harmful gases such as cooking fumes and formaldehyde. It is suitable for cultivation in newly renovated rooms and kitchens. Placed indoors, it not only purifies the air but also adds a touch of greenery to the home.

Pilea cadierei is a perennial herb with creeping stems. The stems are fleshy and slender, slightly swollen in the middle. The petioles are slender, usually hairless, rarely with short pubescence; the stipules are large and greenish. The flowers are dioecious, with greenish-yellow tepals, white or pinkish anthers, and red filaments and connective. The achenes are small, round-ovate, greenish-brown when mature. Flowering period is June to September, fruiting period is September to November.

3. Pilea nummulariifolia

Also known as hairy toad grass, it is a perennial herb. The plant spreads in a creeping manner, with fine and numerous branches that root easily at the nodes where they touch the ground. 6. Pilea mollis

Also known as toad grass or moon-surface Pilea, it is a perennial evergreen herb with a height of 20-50 cm. The leaves are decussate-opposite, with reddish-brown veins, and the main color of the leaf surface is yellow-green, with wavy wrinkles on the surface, beautiful and charming. The flowers are light pinkish-white, in umbel-like cymes, flowering in spring and summer.

Pilea cadierei is highly adaptable, easy to propagate, and relatively easy to grow. It is an indoor flower with very beautiful leaf color. It is very shade-tolerant but prefers sufficient light and should be protected from direct strong light. It likes a warm and humid climate and loose, fertile sandy soil.
