Bougainvillea blooms into a big flower ball year after year - here's how to care for it

Flower friends often leave comments for Chengcheng, saying their bougainvillea blooms so few flowers? Sometimes even when buds form, they drop? They've pruned and controlled water too, so what exactly is the reason?
Chengcheng tells everyone: if our bougainvillea blooms few flowers and drops buds, then there must be two things we haven't done properly!
1. Nutrients must be sufficient
The process of bougainvillea going from pruning and water control to blooming requires nutrients to support it, especially for flower friends growing bougainvillea indoors - this point deserves particular attention, because the nutrients in the potting soil are limited. If after pruning you never fertilized it, especially the high-phosphorus fertilizer that promotes blooming, then even if this bougainvillea blooms, the quantity will be very small, or it may even barely bloom at all!
So, if you're a flower friend who hasn't fertilized it at all since pruning, let's quickly give it some monopotassium phosphate - either by watering the roots or spraying the leaves, both work!
2. Light must be sufficient
Bougainvillea loves light, and sufficient light is the prerequisite for ensuring it blooms, especially during the stage when it just sprouts buds and blooms. If the light isn't quite sufficient, the buds that grow are especially prone to dropping, and even if it does bloom, the flowers will fall off after just a few days!
So, after pruning and water control for your bougainvillea, you must let it bask in the sun vigorously - don't be stingy at all. The more sufficient the light you give it, the more flowers it will repay us with, and the more vivid the colors will be!
In addition, because bougainvillea has a relatively large blooming volume, water must be sufficient. During its blooming period, once the surface layer of the potting soil dries out, we should water it promptly!
Can bougainvillea bloom? Will the blooming volume be large or small? Actually, it's directly related to our care. As long as we pay attention to these two points during the care process, making it bloom into a big flower ball is not difficult at all!
