Autumn is here, and many flower lovers will be repotting and changing the soil for their clivias. Today Chengcheng will tell everyone: how do you repot a clivia?

Step one: prepare the soil you will use for it

As for the soil for growing clivias, I have told everyone before that using leaf mold plus pine needles to grow clivias is very suitable. Leaf mold and pine needles are both nutritious, and their water permeability and air permeability are also very good! Moreover, these two kinds of soil are relatively easy to find. There is plenty under parks and green belts, so you do not have to spend money to buy them at all!

Step two: take it out of the pot and remove the soil

Once the soil for repotting is ready, we take it out of the pot. After taking it out of the pot, all of its original potting soil must be removed. Be sure to do this gently and do not damage the root system!

After all the original potting soil is removed, we need to check the root system and see whether there are any rotten roots, hollow roots or dry roots. If there are, cut them all off, then put it in a cool, well-ventilated place with scattered light to let the wounds dry!

Step three: pot it up

When potting it up, it is best to put some charcoal at the bottom of the pot. If there is no charcoal at home, putting some expanded clay pebbles or small bricks is also fine. After adding it, first spread a layer of soil at the bottom of the pot, spreading it to a suitable height!

Then fill the gaps in the middle of the clivia's root system with soil. After filling them, hold it with your hand and put it into the flower pot, then begin filling soil around it. After the soil is filled, pat the wall of the flower pot while turning it in a circle, then press the soil around the flower pot firmly!

After pressing the soil firmly, if you have carbendazim at home, use water mixed with carbendazim to water it thoroughly, place it in a cool, well-ventilated place to let it recover, and after a week gradually give it sunlight!

This is the whole process of changing the soil for a clivia. If there is anything you do not understand, you can leave a message in the comment section!
