Willow is a plant with extremely strong adaptability. It can grow in most parts of the country, is not picky about soil or climate, and is suitable for both cold and heat. Cut a branch and stick it in the soil, and it will soon grow new branches and new leaves and flourish. So why can willow grow so fast?
This is all because willow branches contain a large amount of "salicylic acid" and a small amount of "aspirin". Salicylic acid can promote plant rooting and sprouting and is a plant growth hormone, and aspirin can preserve and prevent plant root rot, so expert gardeners all use it to grow flowers.
The method is as follows:
Break off a few current-year willow branches, remove the leaves, crush the bark, cut into 3-4 cm small sections, first rinse with clean water to remove the dirt on them, then soak them in clean water. Soybeans contain a large amount of protein, and after fermentation, protein will mainly become a nutrient fertilizer containing nitrogen fertilizer, so soybeans are especially suitable for growing foliage plants, such as pothos and spider plant...
The method is as follows:
Take an appropriate amount of soybeans from home and soak them in clean water. Generally after soaking for 24 hours, you can see the soybeans become bigger and bigger, that is, they have swelled. Then you can put the soybeans in a pressure cooker and simmer them. In about 25 minutes they will be cooked soft. Let them cool and they can be used to grow flowers. There are two ways to use them:
1. Directly beside pots such as pothos and spider plant, poke a few holes in places far from the roots, put 2-3 soybeans in each hole, and cover with soil. Used this way, the effect is slower and takes about a month to show, because the soybeans need a process of fermentation and decomposition in the soil.
2. You can put the cooked soybeans together with the water used to cook them into a plastic bottle, add some chopped orange peels, banana peels and insecticide, cover the lid, and in about 20 days you can take the water to water flowers. But at this time there will be a bit of odor. However, after fermenting for more than 6 months there will be no odor. Soybean water needs to be mixed with clean water, and the ratio of clean water to add is also related to the length of fermentation time. The longer the fermentation time, the greater the proportion of water added.
However, if you want to grow pothos and spider plant well, then their lighting also needs attention. Neither pothos nor spider plant can tolerate direct sunlight, otherwise their leaves will turn yellow. For home care, just place them in a place with scattered light and ventilation.
