I believe that in the process of growing flowers, flower lovers have all worried about fertilizer at some point. If you want your flowers to grow healthily and bloom abundantly, you must supplement them with some extra nutrients to meet their growth needs.

We all know that the three most indispensable elements for flowers during growth are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. In fact, to supplement these elements for plants, you do not need to spend money on fertilizer at all. You can absolutely make them yourself at home.

Homemade nitrogen fertilizer

Nitrogen is of great significance to the growth of flowers. It can accelerate the speed of cell division in plants and also promote the synthesis of substances such as proteins. If nitrogen fertilizer is applied to flowers regularly, it helps them grow healthily and keeps the leaf color fresh.

In our daily lives, many common things are good materials for making nitrogen fertilizer, such aspeanuts, okara, medicinal residues, vegetable leavesand so on. These things are rich in sufficient nitrogen and are the best choice for homemade nitrogen fertilizer.

1. After washing these things clean, put them into a container, then add some clean water. It does not need to be too much; about two-thirds of the container is enough.

2. Then place the container under the hot sun for two to three weeks so that the material in the container ferments fully. To avoid producing a large amount of odor during fermentation, you can add some citrus peel to the container beforehand to remove the odor.

3. After the material in the container has fermented fully, it can be used for fertilizing. When fertilizing, it needs to be diluted with three to four times the amount of clean water before use.

Homemade phosphorus fertilizer

Phosphorus is very important for the growth of flowering plants. It can promote flower bud formation, make the flowers more gorgeous and moving, and can also play a role in prompting flowers to bloom earlier.

Many things in life contain sufficient phosphorus, such asegg shells, bonesand so on. These things can be used to make bone meal for fertilizing, or they can be directly crushed and mixed into the soil.

1. Taking bone meal as an example, first wash the bones clean with clean water, then boil the bones in a pressure cooker for two to three hours;

2. After that, take the bones out, rinse them quickly with cold water, then put the bones under the hot sun for two to three days. After this treatment, the bones will become extremely crisp, soft and loose;

3. Then use a hammer to break the bones into small pieces as much as possible, then use a rolling pin to grind them into powder. This is bone meal rich in phosphorus. It can be mixed directly into the soil for use, or dissolved in water and applied as a liquid fertilizer.

Homemade potassium fertilizer

Potassium fertilizer can not only promote plant photosynthesis and make plant roots thick and strong, but also greatly improve plant disease resistance and enhance the immunity of flowers. It is also an indispensable element in the process of plant growth.

As for the sources of materials for homemade potassium fertilizer, there are even more, such asrice washing water, plant ash, banana peelsand so on. They are all excellent potassium fertilizer materials.

1. Taking banana peels as an example, collect the banana peels, rinse them clean with clean water, then cut them into pieces and put them into a container;

2. Pour about four-fifths clean water into the container, then place the container in the sun for a period of time until the color of the water in the container changes completely.

3. After that, pour out the solution in the container, dilute it with two to three times the amount of water, and use it to water the surface of the flower soil. Apply once every half month, and the effect is very good.

How about it, is it not super simple? Stop worrying about buying flower fertilizer and hurry up and try it.
