Lately vegetable prices have been rising too fast, and many fellow gardeners say that at these prices, they really can't afford to eat them! Today Teacher Xiaoye will share with you a wild vegetable - purslane, which clears heat and removes dampness, detoxifies and reduces swelling, and has anti-inflammatory and diuretic effects. It is very convenient to grow at home! Let's learn together!
Purslane (Portulaca oleracea) is a wild vegetable that everyone loves to eat. Every spring, we go to the vegetable plot to dig some and bring them home. The purslane we pick can be served as a cold salad or used to steam buns. The key point is that it is very good for the health of both the elderly and children, and the growing method is very simple. Grow half a sq m at home and the whole family can't even finish eating it!
Growing method:
Before planting purslane, water the vegetable pot filled with soil. The water should soak through thoroughly, then scatter the seeds on the moist soil, and finally cover the seeds with about 1 cm of soil!
At a temperature of around 30°C, purslane will sprout in 2-3 days. In daily care, you only need to water it to ensure very good growth. The key point is that purslane, as a wild vegetable, is extremely unlikely to get pests. When harvesting, just cut it stalk by stalk. The key point is that purslane is a perennial plant, so once sown, you can eat it for several years afterward!
Fellow gardeners who like to eat purslane can grow it at home, and it can be planted in all three seasons of spring, summer and autumn!
