Besides pothos and spider plants, these common trailing plants are suitable for growing at home. There are also these plants that look better than pothos and spider plants, and offer many benefits.

Rosary vine

It is a succulent, also called heart vine, string of hearts, and so on. A well-grown rosary vine takes on an overall trailing form, with heart-shaped leaves. The leaves are fairly thick and fleshy. The length can generally reach about 2 m.

The most suitable growing temperature for rosary vine is around 20°C, and keeping it at this temperature lets it grow fastest. In regions with a large temperature difference between day and night, its tolerance is also quite good. In the early stage of planting, after adding the original base fertilizer to the pot, there is no need to fertilize again. During care, place it in a bright spot such as the living room.

String of pearls

A succulent native to South Africa. As the name suggests, string of pearls looks like prayer beads, and it is also a very good trailing plant.

Caring for the succulent string of pearls is usually very simple. Its growing period is generally from March to December. During this period, keep the light plentiful. The secret to growing string of pearls well is light. Ventilation and moisture retention, these basics are all well known. Because it grows fast, it is generally repotted about once a year. After proper pruning, insert the cut stems into soil and they will send out new shoots.

Air plant

This plant is amazing: place it in the air, and as long as you give it water it will grow well. Its vitality is extremely strong, making it very suitable for lazy gardeners. It is usually placed in a glass bottle and hung in places such as the living room. It basically needs no care, but if you want it to grow even better, you still need to put it in soil.

Muehlenbeckia

Muehlenbeckia itself is used as an indoor ornamental plant for people to enjoy. To care for Muehlenbeckia, keep the environment warm and humid and just ensure plenty of sunlight. Soil that is too dry or too wet is bad for the growth of Muehlenbeckia. The trimmed branches and leaves can also be propagated by cuttings, and the overall shape can be styled.

Generally no fertilizer is needed; if you want the leaves to look a bit better, you can apply oil residue.

Senecio

I really recommend everyone grow this plant. It is very attractive, with very round leaves. This plant is still relatively uncommon in China, and when caring for it, just make sure the environment is warm and the sunlight is plentiful. When growing it, the soil must be well prepared, and maintaining good drainage is the most important thing.
