Planting succulents in a basket - carrying it out to buy groceries, passersby keep turning their heads to look
Make a succulent basket like this, and the turn-head rate is 100%!
Every time Huahua sees an ingenious succulent arrangement, it itches unbearably in her heart. Today, let's take a look at those uniquely shaped basket succulents!
How do you make a succulent flower basket?
1. Behead the succulents, then place them in a cool, ventilated spot to air-dry for 2-3 days so the wounds dry out.
2. Prepare a flower basket to plant the succulents. Huahua suggests that everyone prepare a slightly larger flower basket, so the succulents won't be too crowded and will have enough space to grow in the basket. Line the bottom of the flower basket with a layer of plastic bag, and poke a few holes in the plastic bag. If you have non-woven fabric, even better.
3. Fill the flower basket with soil. For the soil, it's best to choose a loose, breathable nutrient soil. You can mix peat soil, coconut coir, perlite, coal cinders, etc. as the soil. Of course, you can also mix 2-3 granules of slow-release fertilizer into the soil.
4. To make the succulent flower basket look nicer, we finally need to spread a layer of small stones on the surface of the pot, such as green zeolite or rainbow stone.
5. Plant the succulents in the flower basket. Of course, fellow flower lovers can do it however they like - plant them however you want! Huahua's suggestion is: put horizontally growing succulents, such as large ones from the Sedum and Aeonium genera, in the middle, and put the ones that easily fill the pot on the sides. The more colors, the prettier!
6. After planting the succulents, give a little water after 3 days, and note that you only need to lightly spray a bit of water on the pot surface. If there are succulents that especially like water, they are generally planted at the edge of the basket, so giving them a bit more water won't affect the other succulents.
7. Succulents planted in a flower basket only need about 2 weeks to take root! Before the succulents have rooted, it's best to keep them in a cool, ventilated place for care. Once the roots have grown out, place them directly in a spot with ample light and let the succulents bask in the sun to their hearts' content!
