Generally, when we grow succulents, we plant them one pot at a time. Sometimes many people also want to grow a lot of succulents, but if you want to grow a lot of succulents, it seems rather difficult, because we do not have that much attention to spare to look after every pot of succulents. But now a growing technique has emerged, and that is growing succulents in a greenhouse. As long as your greenhouse is big enough, then no matter how many pots of succulents there are, there is no problem. Moreover, succulents in a greenhouse grow very well, and their color is also very good, certainly better than succulents we grow separately. So how is this kind of greenhouse made?

The first thing I will introduce to everyone is the principle of growing succulents in a greenhouse. Do you all think the temperature inside a greenhouse is constant? That is what laypeople say. In fact, the temperature, humidity, and light issues inside a greenhouse all come along with the succulents, because these variables in a greenhouse can be controlled by people. For succulents, the temperature difference between day and night is relatively large, the humidity is also different, and the intensity of light received is also different. This is beneficial to the growth of succulents and can promote the conversion of chlorophyll in succulents into anthocyanins. In this way, the succulents will certainly grow very well.

Next I will tell everyone the specific method. The large tray we are talking about is not the kind of super-large greenhouse used for growing things outside, but a small greenhouse we make ourselves. First we need to choose a film with very good light transmission. This is the main raw material for making the large tray ourselves, because only in this way can sunlight pass through the film cover onto the succulents. When we grow succulents in a greenhouse, we need to pay attention to fertilizing. Succulents have their own special fertilizer. After we buy the fertilizer, we need to dilute it before we can water the succulents with it.

As said before, the film we find has very good breathability, good light transmission, and can also keep warmth. You may think that humidity and temperature difference are very hard to control, but that is not exactly how it is. As long as we can control the intensity of ultraviolet rays, then we can control the humidity and temperature difference, so our breathable film must be able to let ultraviolet rays through.

What I want to tell everyone here is the issue of ventilation. If we want to keep succulents in a ventilated environment, then we should place the succulents on an iron frame. The upper part of the plants is covered by the breathable film, but the lower part of the plants is suspended in the air. In this way, air can spread from below upward, and the effect of ventilation is achieved.

Next, what I want to mention is that we need to set up a layer of shade net outside the breathable film, because if it is too transparent to light, then I must set up a shade net, so that when the sunlight is very strong, the temperature will not be very high. When we are busy, we cannot let the shade net and the film touch each other. Instead, we should set up the shade net at a certain distance from the film, so as to avoid all sunlight being blocked by the shade net, in which case the succulents would not be able to absorb sunlight.
