Though the vibrant spring season of colorful blooms has passed, the garden's enchanting charm still cannot be contained.

At the entrance, crushed stone is laid out all along the path beneath your feet. Stepping onto the wooden-textured stairs, the solid feel underfoot brings you closer to nature. In the middle of the fence formed by natural-wood-colored bamboo panels stand two wooden posts about two meters tall, one standing upright and the other leaning lazily at an angle. Above the posts rests a vintage wooden plaque inscribed with seal-script characters: "Yiguang Garden Sanfan" - rustic, warm and thought-provoking.

Walking further in, you find a highly distinctive Japanese garden style. Trees, sand and stone, natural-wood-colored buildings - just a few sparse strokes contain profound meaning. As a draft blows through the hall, a faint sense of Zen diffuses through the sparse shadows slanting across the shallow clear water. Every step reveals a new scene, refreshing the mind and delighting the heart.

The shishiodoshi in the garden, also called the "startled deer," "deer scarer," "water-adding device," "sozu" (そうず), or "bird scarer." Through the principle of the lever, it uses the continuous flow of water to shift the balance between the two ends of a bamboo tube, and then one end of the bamboo tube strikes a stone to make a sound. When the water is full, the sound rings out, used to startle birds and sparrows that fall into the garden. It is not only practical, but also overlaps with the garden's lush plants, wind, scents and light and shadow, awakening people's perception of the beauty of nature.

The corridor winds gracefully back and forth, and the dazzling array of bonsai is neatly and orderly arranged. Each pot contains a small world of its own, a miniature of natural scenery. This bonsai display area is adjacent to the garden's open-air bonsai display area. In the courtyard paved with crushed stone, the display stands are arranged at varying heights. One stand, one pot, echoing the corridor inside - natural, harmonious and mutually enhancing.

The eyes open a window for the soul. Amid the vivid and rustic tones are dots of vibrant green, like a powerful and vigorous brush that, with ink and color on the rice paper of the soul, expresses all the vicissitudes of the world!
