This is the correct way to water succulents in summer

The high temperature and humidity of summer make it the season when succulents need the most protective care. Not only should you avoid high temperatures and pay attention to sun protection, but watering must also be done properly. If care falls short in any aspect, they can die at any moment.
Summer's high temperatures also coincide with the dormant period for many succulents, so you cannot water at will. In a hot, humid environment, water evaporates with difficulty, and overwatering can easily affect the roots' breathing, or even cause root rot.
Watering should be done in the morning and evening, when the temperature is not too high, which also helps the water in the potting soil evaporate and disperse. If a succulent has just been in the sun, you definitely must not water it; the soil is scorching hot, and if you water it then, it immediately turns into hot water. You can imagine the state of the roots in hot mud, and root rot is inevitable. First move the succulent to a cool, ventilated place to let it settle, and once its temperature has dropped, water it slowly. Summer is humid, and moisture does not evaporate easily, so be careful not to let water accumulate between the leaves.
For watering frequency, you can refer to your usual routine and extend it a bit more; you can water when the soil is nearly completely dry. Some potting soil may look dry on the surface, but it may still be moist inside. Do not combine drought and flooding either, waiting until it is desperately dry and then giving it a big soak; succulents cannot withstand such torment. Paying attention to frequency and giving small amounts of water is the most suitable approach.
After watering, pay even more attention: do not expose them to strong direct sunlight, especially when water droplets still cling to the leaves, as the droplets intensify the light and can easily scorch the leaves. After watering succulents, place them in diffused light or a bright, semi-shaded spot, and be sure to maintain good ventilation.
