Pothos and spider plants are very common flowers at home; they are both very tough and very easy to grow. However, wanting to grow them well and get them to fill the pot is not an easy thing, so properly supplementing fertilizer is also a very important matter. Today, the editor wants to share with everyone a small method for applying nitrogen fertilizer, simple and easy to do.
Soybeans are something we often see in daily life, and soybeans can be seen everywhere in the market. Moreover, soybeans are rich in nitrogen fertilizer, and nitrogen fertilizer is a fertilizer that many flowers need very much. Therefore, using soybeans to make flower fertilizer makes flowers grow more vigorously, with lush green leaves, and the effect is very good. So, how do you use soybeans to make homemade flower fertilizer for flowers?
Soak the soybeans in water overnight, then boil them in boiling water until cooked. Drain the cooked soybeans, poke a few holes in the flower pot in places farther from the roots, then bury the cooked soybeans into the flower pot. Put two or three in one hole, and in this way the soybeans will slowly rot and provide rich nutrients for the plant. This natural soybean flower fertilizer has an even better effect than you imagine; its fertilizer effect can last up to 5 months, and it does no harm at all to flowers. Even if too much is applied, it will not burn the flower roots.
If everyone directly buries the cooked soybeans at the bottom of the flower pot, the effect is relatively slow. If you want the effect to be fast and good, you can first ferment the soybeans into fertilizer, and then bury them in the flower pot for use. How exactly is it done? Please see the introduction below.
Put the soybeans soaked in warm water into a pot, and boil the soybeans until soft. Generally, boil them to the point where they can be crushed with a pinch. Scoop them out and let them cool a bit. After they are no longer hot, use a small spoon or anything at all, as long as it can crush the soybeans, to crush the boiled soybeans and set them aside.
Finally, put the crushed soybeans into a sealed container, pour in an appropriate amount of water, preferably rice washing water, so the effect will be better. Then wait for them to decompose.
If you have orange peel, it is best to put a little orange peel inside, as this can prevent the unpleasant smell produced during the soybean fermentation process. Generally, fermentation can be completed in about one month. The well-fermented soybean fertilizer water should be properly diluted before being used to water flowers. The soybean residue can be shallowly buried in the pot soil for fertilizing.
