Hydroponic plants never thrive? Add this to the water, and the leaves will be so green they drip with oil

Many plant lovers enjoy growing plants hydroponically because it looks clean and sunny, but once the high temperatures pass, hydroponic plants develop root rot. Today, Huahua is here to give everyone a systematic solution that will satisfy every plant lover!
How to tell if hydroponic roots have rotted
1. Gently pull at the base of the roots with your hand
Huahua usually first checks whether the roots have turned black or yellow, then feels with a hand to see if they have gone soft. If you gently pull at the base of the roots and find that the outer skin comes off easily, that means the roots have already rotted.
2. Smell with your nose
Smelling with your nose mainly means smelling the plant roots and the water. If there is some foul odor, that means the roots have already rotted.
Causes of root rot
1. Low dissolved oxygen content in the nutrient solution
There are many causes of root rot in hydroponic plants, and the most common cause is still a problem with the nutrient solution. For example, during the summer that has just passed, once the weather gets hot, the dissolved oxygen content in the hydroponic bottle drops, which may cause oxygen deprivation in the plant roots.
Solution: Put the hydroponic bottle in a ventilated spot at home.
2. Poor water quality of the nutrient solution
If there are substances in the nutrient solution, it may be because the water contains leftover plant fragments and residual growing medium, which can also cause the nutrient solution to spoil.
Solution: Change the water every 2 to 3 days and check the water quality of the nutrient solution.
3. The nutrient solution has submerged the plant roots
If the nutrient solution submerges all of the plant's roots or even the root crown, root rot will also occur.
Solution: Leave half of the plant's roots exposed to oxygen and half in the nutrient solution.
4. High temperature of the nutrient solution
When the temperature of the nutrient solution exceeds 30 degrees, the roots are prone to rotting.
Solution: Provide the plant with appropriate shade.
How to deal with rotten roots
1. Cut off the rotten roots in time
After discovering root rot, take the plant out and rinse the slime off the roots in clean water; do not rub with your hands. Then cut off the rotten roots and leave the plant in a ventilated place to dry.
2. Change the water in the hydroponic bottle
We need to wash the hydroponic bottle clean and replace it with new water. If you use tap water from home, let the water sit in a ventilated place for one day in advance to remove the chlorine. Wait until new roots grow before using nutrient solution again (or you can skip it).
Precautions
1. Temperature
The water temperature for hydroponics should be kept at 18 degrees to below 25 as much as possible. Plant lovers should be careful to place the plants in a cool, ventilated spot.
2. Oxygen
The nutrient solution needs sufficient oxygen. You can appropriately add some metronidazole, vitamin B12 and small pieces of charcoal to the water to prevent rot and improve the water quality of the nutrient solution.
