Documentary "Bee Mad 2" screened at the Environmental Truth Cinema

Starting in 2006, swarm after swarm of bees around the world died mysteriously, a phenomenon known as colony collapse disorder. From the documentary produced by PTS<蜂狂>we learn that the cause of this phenomenon is the use of pesticides. One third of the world's crops depend on bee pollination, and if bees disappeared completely, it could cause a global food crisis.
And colony collapse disorder may be warning of an even greater threat to humanity. Newborns around the world have also been found to show abnormal reflexes and delayed mental development. Scientists have found this may all be related to pesticides affecting neural development. Pesticides also interfere with hormones in the body, which are linked to diseases such as cancer and diabetes. From ancient times to the present, humans have constantly tried to tame the environment for their own benefit, believing we can fully control the mechanisms at work, but in fact biological mechanisms are far more complex than we know.
The threat of pesticides has long been ignored. We have always been used to the benefits they bring, but bees force us to face this problem, and no one is immune. In this event we will watch together the sequel<蜂狂>to<蜂狂2>, and we have specially invited an expert among experts, Professor Tu Wu-chun of the Department of Entomology at National Chung Hsing University, as the post-screening discussion guest. This is a rare opportunity, so don't miss it.
Behind the beautiful vegetables and fruits, there are facts that some do not want discovered. Who exactly is the bee killer? Who is the mastermind behind these phenomena? How many shocking truths are hidden beneath enormous vested interests? On 10/27 (Sat), come and hear what the bees have leaked.
