As a large potted plant, Bambusa multiplex can indeed be tricky when its leaves turn yellow. Generally speaking, there are many causes of yellowing leaves, but they are mainly environmental factors such as light, ventilation and air humidity.

Watering

Too little watering of Bambusa multiplex can also cause yellowing leaves. When watered too little, the leaf edges dry up, and the old leaves gradually turn yellow and fall off from top to bottom, but the growth of new leaves is still relatively normal. Be careful to water more and water thoroughly.

Light

Sunburn yellowing of Bambusa multiplex: exposure to strong sunlight will cause the leaves to turn yellow, showing as dry, withered leaf tips and leaf edges, with discolored spots appearing on parts of the leaves. The solution is to place the sunburned Bambusa multiplex in a cool, dry place.

Watering

When the bamboo leaves curl slightly, that is the best time to water; it must be watered thoroughly. You can usually mist the branches and leaves; it mainly likes a humid environment, but there is no need to water too frequently. Houseplants are mostly drowned, rarely dried to death.

Fertilizing

Fertilizer yellowing of Bambusa multiplex: applying too much fertilizer to the plant can also cause the flowers to turn yellow, mainly showing as brown tips on the plant's leaves; generally the leaf surface is thick and lacks luster, and is uneven, with old leaves withering and yellowing and falling off. The solution is to stop fertilizing the Bambusa multiplex. If the condition is severe, you can water it with clean water and drain it, gradually reducing the fertilizer concentration.

Ventilation

Water yellowing of Bambusa multiplex shows as the young leaves losing their luster, while the old leaves show little change, the stems gradually becoming thinner, and the new shoots wilting as they develop. The solution is to place the plant in a dry, well-ventilated position for care, and once it has dried out somewhat, put it back into the potting soil.
