Reasons Why Desert Rose Does Not Bloom and Solutions
1. Increase Light
1. Cause: Without sufficient light, it cannot grow normally, so it is no surprise that the desert rose does not bloom.
2. Solution: It needs sufficient light to bloom, and you must ensure eight hours of natural light exposure every day.
2. Adjust the Temperature
1. Cause: Desert rose is suited to growing at temperatures above 20°C. If the temperature is below 20°C, it will not bloom.
2. Solution: Keep the temperature of its growing environment above 20°C. You can place it on a balcony or in a south-facing direction, where sunlight is ample and can meet its needs.
3. Water Moderately
1. Cause: Although the desert rose is a drought-tolerant plant, it still needs watering, and watering must be moderate. Too much will cause root rot, while too little fails to achieve the purpose of watering. Both situations will cause it not to bloom.
2. Solution: During its growing season, water once a week; at other times, two to three times a month. When watering, observe its condition; you must only water after its potting soil is completely dry.
4. Change the Soil
1. Cause: It is suited to growing in slightly acidic soil. If it is planted in alkaline, hard soil, it will cause the desert rose to be unable to bloom.
2. Solution: Add vinegar or add leaf mold to alkaline soil, and the problem of alkaline soil can be solved.
