A home with flowers planted all around the front and back, this is the home I want

I want a home, with flowers planted all around the front and back,

so that every morning,

I can wake up in the misty fragrance of flowers,

and then, barefoot, with a bamboo basket on my arm,

wander among the dew-covered blossoms!

After enjoying the flowers to my heart's content,

I'll casually pick a few stems of roses,

put them in the vase on the dining table,

and just like that, eat breakfast while admiring the flowers,

so cozy!

I want a home, with flowers planted all around the front and back,

so that every afternoon

I can doze off to the sound of cicadas,

and drink a pot of tea under the loofah trellis.

And then, you and I,

each holding a book,

each leaning against one side of the rattan chairs,

staying there for a whole afternoon.

I want a home, with flowers planted all around the front and back,

so that every evening,

I can hold our child with you,

sitting together on the stone steps in the yard,

watching the glow of the setting sun,

watching the brilliant sunset clouds,

chatting about the dreams of our youth,

recalling the embarrassing moments of our childhood.

I want a home, with flowers planted all around the front and back,

so that every weekend,

I can invite a bunch of friends over,

sitting together around the long wooden table in the yard,

eating the freshly ripened fruits and vegetables from the yard,

admiring the flowers and plants in the yard.

When it's time to leave,

I'll cut some half-open lilies, hydrangeas, and ranunculus,

and let them take them home to enjoy.

I want a home, with flowers planted all around the front and back,

with you and our child,

far from the noise of the world,

just living our little life carefree!
