This plant: 1 gram can kill 400 adults; plant one in your yard and it produces more than 1,000 fruits

When I was in elementary school, our Chinese language teacher gave each of us a few castor bean seeds and told us to take them home and plant them. I've forgotten what they were for, but we all took them home and planted them anyway. Later, one survived and grew into a tree rooted at the edge of the yard of my old home. Thinking back over all those years, that castor bean tree must have produced at least 1,000 fruits. Later I looked it up and found that it is actually highly toxic: 1 gram can kill at least 400 adults.
At the time, the castor plant had grown taller than a person, so you could call it a castor bean tree. The fruits it produced are called castor beans, and castor beans contain a very high level of ricin. This toxin easily damages organs such as the liver and kidneys, and even a small amount ingested quickly causes systemic paralysis. It has been called one of the top ten poisons.
Actually, castor bean is still extremely useful, otherwise why would it still be planted on such a large scale?
1. The leaves and roots of castor bean:
Both the leaves and roots of castor bean can be used as medicine. Its leaves have the effect of reducing swelling and relieving itching, and can treat sores, ulcers, swelling and toxicity; its roots have the effect of dispelling wind and invigorating blood, relieving pain and calming, and can be used for rheumatic joint pain, tetanus, epilepsy and other diseases.
2. The seeds of castor bean:
Castor bean seeds can be pressed for oil. Their oil content reaches 50%, and the oil has high viscosity and a low freezing point. It withstands both severe cold and high heat: it does not freeze at -8 to -10°C, and does not solidify at 500 to 600°C. It is an important industrial oil, and can be used in industries such as chemicals, metallurgy, mechanical and electrical engineering, and textiles.
Therefore, growing castor beans can also bring substantial economic income. There is now a large demand for castor oil, and rural areas with vast land and sparse population can be chosen for it. This can also be considered a fairly good project.
