Take the azalea that needs repotting out of its pot; after removing it from the pot, take out the plant, remove some of the old soil, and prune away the old roots and diseased roots; plant the pruned plant into a new pot, adding soil slowly as you plant and pressing it firm with your fingers. After planting, water thoroughly once right away, place it in a semi-shady spot to grow, and after about half a month, once it has passed the seedling-recovery period, resume normal care.

1. Removing from the pot: Lay the azalea that needs repotting on its side on the ground, and you can step on the pot to make it come loose. 2. Pruning: Take the plant out of the pot, remove some of the old soil, prune the roots, cut off the old roots and diseased roots, and add a small amount of soil to the new pot.

3. Potting up: Place the pruned plant into the new pot, hold it upright, let its roots spread out, and add soil slowly. As you add soil, press the surrounding soil firm with your fingers so the roots make full contact with the soil, which helps them take root and survive. Do not fill the soil too full; leave about 3 cm of height for watering later.

4. Watering: After planting it in the new pot, give the azalea a thorough watering; you can use the soaking method, immersing the whole flower pot in water, and after about 10 minutes or so, once the soil is soaked through, take it out. After repotting, place it in a semi-shady spot to grow, mist it often, and after about half a month, once it has passed the seedling-recovery period, resume normal care.
