As a gardener from Shandong, my love for garlic flows like a mighty river, endless and unbroken. Garlic can be eaten raw and also used as a seasoning in cooking. But did you know that this tiny garlic is also a magic tool for growing flowers! Today, I'm going to tell you about all the wonderful uses of garlic in gardening!

Dip cuttings in a bit of garlic water, and big white roots come pouring out!

Many friends love taking cuttings, but always fail because the cuttings rot. If you soak them in garlic water before taking cuttings, the survival rate will increase quite a bit!

1. Prepare some fresh garlic and onion, mix them in a 1:4 ratio and mash them into a paste.

2. Pour the mashed garlic-onion paste into a container, add 10 times the amount of clean water, shake well, and the rooting water is ready.

3. Put the cuttings in the garlic rooting water, take them out after about 30 minutes, let them dry, and then plant them.

4. Garlic contains a large amount of phytoncides, which can effectively prevent cuttings from rotting, thereby promoting rooting in the cuttings.

Give your flowers a drink of garlic paste, and new shoots keep sprouting!

Recently, quite a few gardening friends have asked me why their plants at home never sprout new shoots. Try giving the flowers a drink of garlic paste, and I guarantee new shoots will come popping out!

1. Pick a plump, non-wilted head of garlic, peel off the skin, put it in a garlic-mashing container and crush it, preferably into a paste.

2. Add 3 times the amount of water to the mashed garlic, stir well, filter out the residue, and then water the flowers that are in their growing period.

3. After a week, you'll find that many new shoots have grown on the branches of the flowers.

4. After pruning flowers, apply some garlic water to the cut, which can both prevent wound infection and stimulate the growth of flower buds!

Spray your flowers with a bit of garlic water, and all the aphids die off!

After a few rains, the annoying little bugs are even more numerous! To avoid being bothered by these little bugs, try my garlic water insecticide!

1. Prepare 1 fresh head of garlic, peel it clean, and mash it into garlic paste.

2. Add 1 spoonful of soapy water or 1 spoonful of chili powder to the garlic paste, then add 60 times the amount of clean water, and mix well.

3. Filter out the garlic residue from the solution, pour it into a spray bottle, and spray both sides of the leaves that have pest problems.

4. Spray once a day, use continuously 3-5 times, and you'll find that the bugs are basically all gone.

Dip the branches in a bit of garlic water, and fresh flowers stay in bloom for 1 whole month!

Those who grow Chinese roses, Eustoma (prairie gentian) and other flowers at home like to cut a few branches after they bloom and put them in water to admire. If you dip the branches in a bit of garlic water before putting them in, the fresh flowers will stay in bloom for much longer!

1. Crush the garlic, put it in a pot, add clean water and bring to a boil.

2. After boiling, filter out the garlic residue from the water, leaving only the clear water.

3. Soak the bottom of the fresh flower branches in the garlic water, but not for too long, about half a minute is enough.

4. After soaking in the garlic water, you can also drop an aspirin into the vase, and the fresh flowers will stay fresh even longer!
