In the day-to-day care of some plants, watering is one of the key steps. If any part of it is not done properly, it can easily cause the plant to die! So which plants need special attention when it comes to watering?

1. Wax begonia (Begonia semperflorens-cultorum)

The surface of the wax begonia is not smooth; its surface is covered with many tiny hairs. If we water its leaves, the water droplets cling to the plant's hairs, making it hard for them to evaporate completely, so the leaf surface stays wet for a long time. This leads to rot.

2. Clivia (Clivia miniata)

If you spray its leaves, the water easily runs down into the leaf core, causing water to pool there. Because of this, the water in the clivia's leaf core is very hard to evaporate completely, so it is also a plant prone to rot. To spray the leaves of a clivia, we can gently wipe them with a cloth.

3. Gloxinia (Sinningia speciosa)

The gloxinia is similar to the wax begonia: its leaf surface also has many tiny hairs, and if sprayed, water easily pools on the leaves, causing rot. When watering it we need to be especially careful to prevent water from falling on the stems and leaves.

4. Cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum)

The leaves of the cyclamen are also very afraid of water; if even a little moisture stays on them, it easily causes rot. The cyclamen itself is a plant that likes warmth and cannot tolerate high temperatures. When watering it, we need to be careful not to sprinkle water on the leaves.

5. Golden barrel cactus (Echinocactus grusonii)

The golden barrel cactus is a succulent plant, and its own water-storing ability is among the more outstanding of all plants. If you spray water on the golden barrel cactus, it can easily die from being too damp. When watering, we can water from the base; never water from the top down. For caring for the golden barrel cactus, let me tell you a bit more: when growing a golden barrel cactus in winter, we need to keep the ambient temperature above 5°C for it to survive the winter safely.

6. Succulent plants

Succulent care is extremely important. In winter, you do not need to spray succulents; if their moisture cannot evaporate, it easily causes black rot. You can also water them as little as possible, because succulents themselves have a very strong water-storing ability. For their care, you should move them indoors in winter and place them on a balcony surface. When the room temperature is below 2°C, watering should be stopped.

The above 6 plants all require special attention when we care for them; once a mistake is made, we can easily cause the plant to die. Flower-growing friends, be sure to save this!
