How to make a pine bonsai? Detailed method and steps

Collect the stump at the Beginning of Spring each year, dig out the roots together with the soil, bandage the wounds well and prune the branches and leaves. After trimming, plant it in a flower pot of suitable size, water it, and place it in a bright spot without wind to grow. Once it is confirmed to have fully survived, it can receive full sunlight, and then trimming and shaping can be carried out.

Step 1: Collecting the stump

The best time to collect the stump is at the Beginning of Spring each year, before all things revive. To avoid damaging its roots, try to dig out as much soil as possible together with the roots when digging, as this can increase its survival rate. After digging it out, all its wounds need to be bandaged, and at the same time nearly half of the branches and leaves should be pruned off, which also serves to increase its survival rate. At this point, you must not be reluctant to prune.

Step 2: Planting

First is the choice of pot; a clay pot should be used, and the size of the pot can be determined according to the size of the collected stump. Before planting in a pot, it can first be grown in the ground for care, which helps its survival after potting. There is also a little trick when potting: on the first day, put only 2/3 of the soil in the pot, then water it once; on the second day, put all the remaining 1/3 of the soil into the pot. This is to make the soil show a more even and suitable moisture level.

Step 3: Care

After potting, water it once again, then place it in a windless place with light, but when it has just been potted it should still avoid overly strong sunlight. After it has survived, it can be placed in sunlight all day to grow. If the soil is on the dry side, it can be watered. At the same time, its leaves should also be sprayed with water every day.

Step 4: Shaping

If you want to shape it, you must wait until it has fully resumed growth before doing so. Choose a shape suitable for its stump and prune accordingly. Be sure not to do it too early.

The above are the basic making methods. Friends who are interested might as well make one themselves!
