The harvest season is coming. Nature's harvest time is also the growing time for flowers! Take a stroll outside this season and you can bring back lots of gardening treasures! Don't pass up free goodies!

Now all kinds of melons and fruits are ripe, and flowers have reached the repotting period. Collect these materials and put them at the bottom of flower pots; they are the most suitable!

1. Loofah sponge

Those who grow loofah at home have probably eaten enough of it! But loofah has many uses. For example, if you let it grow into an old loofah, the loofah sponge can be used to scrub pots. The loofah sponge has many tiny air pores and can be placed at the bottom of flower pots for drainage and aeration.

Place the prepared, absolutely dry loofah sponge at the bottom of the flower pot, then add soil, and you can plant flowers. For smaller plants, you can cut the loofah sponge into pieces and spread a thin layer at the bottom as a water-permeable material.

By the way, remember to remove the seeds. If the seeds rot in the soil, it is not good for plant growth.

2. Peanut shells

Peanuts generally mature at the end of September and the beginning of October, and at that time a large amount of peanuts will be on the market. Collect some, crush them, and place them directly at the bottom of flower pots. If a friend grows peanuts, or if you buy peanuts, you can let them know. As long as you are mindful, you will definitely be able to collect some.

Of course, peanut shells can also be used as fertilizer. After drying them in the sun, crush them and mix them into the soil. Or use them after fermentation.

Of course, besides the two above, nature also has all kinds of fully ripe fruits, and all of them can be used. Fallen leaves, bark, pine needles, willow branches, whatever you can think of, you will definitely find a use for it!
