Reasons Why Anthurium Leaves Go Soft and How to Fix It
1. Control the room temperature well
1. Cause
When the temperature is above 35°C, or below 10°C, its leaves will begin to wilt.
2. Solution
It can grow normally at a room temperature of 18 to 28°C. In summer, the temperature must not be higher than 32°C; you can increase ventilation for it, water it more, and shade it appropriately to lower the temperature. In winter, the temperature must be kept above 14°C.
2. Maintain relatively high humidity
1. Cause
It has very high humidity requirements while growing. If the humidity falls below 50%, the air will become dry, and at this point the leaves will wilt due to a lack of water.
2. Solution
The humidity must be kept above 50%. When the room temperature is below 20°C, the indoor environment needs to be kept natural; when the temperature exceeds 28°C, spray a little water on its leaves to increase humidity, but in winter you should not add too much moisture, otherwise it will easily get frostbitten.
3. Control the light well
1. Cause
When the light is too strong, it will scorch its leaves and make them wilt.
2. Solution
At this point, avoid strong light exposure and move it to a spot with bright, indirect light.
4. Manage water and fertilizer correctly
1. Cause
When applying fertilizer solution to it, if the amount is always too much and the frequency too often, the leaves will wilt.
2. Solution
Water and fertilizer must be managed correctly. In spring, water it once every 3 days; in summer, water it once every 2 days; if the temperature is very high, you can add one extra watering; in winter, usually watering it with fertilizer solution once every 5 to 7 days is enough.
