Is the jade plant suitable for indoor growing? Read these points and you will understand
I. Is it suitable for indoor growing
It is suitable for growing indoors. It itself has no volatile odor and will not cause any harm to human skin, and even if you touch its surface, there is no problem. In addition, it can absorb CO2 at night and release a lot of O2, which is not harmful to the human body at all, so it can be placed in the living room or bedroom.
II. How to grow it indoors
1. Temperature: It likes a warm environment, and usually the optimal growing temperature is between 15 and 32 degrees. It is afraid of heat, and when the summer temperature exceeds 33 degrees, it will enter a dormant state. In addition, it is also afraid of cold; in winter the temperature needs to be above 10 degrees. If it is below 7 degrees, it will also enter a dormant state, and if the temperature drops to 4 degrees, it may even die.
2. Sunlight: It likes sunlight very much. If there is not enough light, its leaves will drop and its roots will rot, so when growing it indoors, you need to place it in a place with plenty of light, but in summer, give it appropriate shade from the sun.
3. Watering: In spring and autumn, you can water it once every 1 to 2 days, but not too much. Then when summer comes, stop watering, and also give it appropriate cooling, such as spraying water on its leaves, and pay attention to ventilation. In winter, reduce watering and keep the potting soil in a dry state.
4. Fertilizing: It does not have high fertilizer requirements, and the amount of fertilizer should even be controlled, so generally it is not fertilized much, but if it grows too slowly, you can add some potassium-containing liquid fertilizer, once a month.
5. Pruning: While it is growing, promptly prune the branches that are too long or too dense to maintain a good plant shape.
