After a few rains, the weather has really cooled down a lot. The breeze is chilly, and the felt temperature is much more comfortable. Right now is exactly the season suitable for cuttings, so get to work quickly. These two flowers, if you do not take cuttings now, you will have to wait until next year!

Gardenia

The weather right now is just right, and the water temperature is just right too. Using water for gardenia cuttings is the most suitable.

Step 1:

Choose gardenia branches from the current year's growth, trim the bottom of the branch at a 45-degree angle, and keep 1-2 leaves on each branch.

Step 2:

Prepare a piece of plastic foam, preferably a thin one. Poke several small holes in it, each as wide as a branch.

Step 3:

Insert the branches into the foam, then cover the top with a plastic bag.

Step 4:

After taking the cuttings, place the foam into water and put it in a cool, shaded place. During this time, remember to change the water in time. In the current weather, roots can grow in about 10 days or so. Lift the foam to check; if the roots have grown well, they can be potted up!

Bougainvillea

Step 1

Prepare a container for the cuttings, fill it with soil, mix carbendazim and rooting powder with water, and pour it onto the soil. Then leave it in a cool, shaded place to dry.

Step 2

Choose bright green branches, each about 10 cm long, keep 2-3 leaves, and cut off the excess. Insert them directly into the dried soil.

Step 3

Find a storage box and put the inserted branches into the box. Spray an appropriate amount of water into the box, cover the box, and place it in a cool, shaded place. Remember to open the lid every morning and evening for ventilation. Also make sure there is a certain humidity inside the box.

Step 4

Roots can grow in about one month. After one month, observe the growth of the leaves. Take the branches out of the foam box and plant them in pots.
