A friend has kept lucky bamboo for 3 years without a single yellow leaf, with glossy green foliage? And the method is especially simple

I often keep lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) at home, but it just loves to get yellow leaves. I'd often cut them off as soon as a leaf turned yellow, and slowly the lucky bamboo became sparse and bare, and in the end I could only throw it away. I often keep lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) at home, but it just loves to get yellow leaves. I'd often cut them off as soon as a leaf turned yellow, and slowly the lucky bamboo became sparse and bare, and in the end I could only throw it away. Then every time I went to the flower market I'd buy another bunch, thankful it wasn't too expensive! But once I went to a friend's place and found that his lucky bamboo was growing especially well, and he had already kept it for nearly 3 years. Wow, after such a long time it could still grow so green and glossy, so I had to ask him how he cared for it!

His growing experience is like this:

1. Never change the water too often, and with lucky bamboo it's not about changing the water, it's just about topping it up with a little water when you see there isn't much left. And you'll find that after keeping it for a long time it seems to be able to cycle the water on its own, and the water consumption becomes very slow.

2. Lucky bamboo is native to Africa, so it grows very slowly in winter, so it should be normal for your bamboo to grow slowly in winter too.

3. Lucky bamboo likes diffused light. Where you put it at night makes little difference, but during the day it should be placed in a ventilated spot with bright light.

4. If you want to give it nutrients, just put an iron nail in. Note, it should be a nail that will rust; the main point is to let it absorb the trace elements in the rust. Stainless steel nails or concrete nails would be useless.
