Once autumn arrives, it is harvest season. Many fruits, vegetables, and corn are all coming in, and it feels like there are more vegetables and fruits at the market. Every time Huahua comes to work, she always sees someone selling grapes by the roadside. Those grapes look like little black pearls, with green stems as accents, and they make you want to eat them right away.

Huahua would like to grow grapes on her own balcony too. Although it sounds a bit unbelievable, it is still possible! As a person, you should still have dreams. What if they come true?

Grapes are a very popular fruit, both sour and sweet, and very well liked by the elderly and children. While doing her homework, Huahua found that grape vines can be used as seedlings, and with the cutting method, grapes can be grown on a balcony. Then when you want to eat grapes, you can pick them fresh at home! Without further ado, let's hear Huahua explain it!

1. Choose some grape vine branches. These branches must be vigorous, healthy, and slightly thicker, because this kind of branch will give the grape cuttings a higher survival rate.

2. Soak these grape branches in clean water for about 8-10 hours, then cut the bottom end at a slant. The cut is best made close to the bud point, as this can increase the speed at which the branch roots.

3. Then cut the top end of the branch flat. Note that the top is cut flat and the bottom is cut at a slant. The two are different.

4. Find some clean garden soil, and use this garden soil as the growing medium for the grapes. Before inserting the branch, first water the soil thoroughly in advance, then insert the bottom end of the branch, that is, the slanted end, into the soil. Leave 1-2 buds on the branch, and insert all the rest into the soil.

5. After completing the previous steps, cover the potting soil with a layer of plastic film to ensure the temperature and moisture for the grapes to sprout. It is best to place it in a sunny spot, which helps the branch sprout. After about two days, you can lift the film to let the branch get some air, and you can also spray it with a little water. Try to keep the temperature above 20 degrees, and after a few weeks it will be able to sprout!

6. After small buds appear, you can remove the film and let the sprouted branch get more sunlight. When the surface of the potting soil is dry, water it.

7. While the young seedling is growing, you can apply some organic liquid fertilizer to speed up its growth. The young seedling grows quickly. If you want the grapes to grow like those in a greenhouse and climb along branches, find some vines for it to climb. If you only want it as a potted plant, so it is both nice to look at and can grow fruit, then you need to keep pinching the top of the grape plant so it does not climb all over.

8. Observe promptly. If you find that 6-8 leaves have opened above a grape branch, remove the growing tip of that branch, otherwise the nutrients for the fruit will be stolen away!

9. Before it bears fruit, remember to give the grapes more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to provide nutrients for the grape plant to produce fruit!

If you want to eat grapes, you can grow them on your home balcony!
