Never buy these kinds of flowers at the flower market; they are very hard to keep alive even after buying them

Some flower lovers complain that the flowers they buy from the flower market or the market look fine, but after taking them home, problems appear not long after. Some die after being kept for a while. So what exactly is going on? Today, the editor will tell everyone about the tricks involved here.
1. Many flower lovers only look at the surface when buying flowers. Whenever they see leaves that are dark green and glossy and flowers with bright colors, they think they are good flowers. It is precisely these flowers with very bright and beautiful colors whose leaves and flowers are not naturally glossy and bright, but have had a brightener sprayed on them. Any flower that has been sprayed with a brightener looks very fresh on the leaves and very bright in the flowers, making people reluctant to part with them at first glance. But it has already lost its natural color. What looks like a thin layer of brightener has blocked the stomata on the leaves, preventing the flower from breathing normally. Not only will the flower not grow well, but in serious cases it will also die. Therefore, when you encounter flowers with especially bright colors, you must be cautious about buying them.
2. Newly transplanted flowers. Generally, anyone can recognize these. In the flower market there are often flowers that have just been potted, and the soil in the pot looks fresh, as if the pot had just been changed. You should be careful with flowers like this; it is best not to buy them. This is because most of these flowers were transplanted into pots from greenhouses, and if you buy them home, they are very hard to keep alive. Some unscrupulous sellers, for the sake of profit, transplant flowers with rotten roots or no roots at all into pots and sell them. Therefore, you should choose potted plants that look like they have already been transplanted for a long time. Flowers like this show that they have already been growing in the pot for a long time, and generally there will be no problem.
3. Flowers whose pots feel very light. Many people may not pay much attention to this, but there is a big trick involved. A few years ago, I once bought a pot of flowers like this. At the time I did not notice, but after buying it home I felt something was wrong. I watered it every day, so why did the leaves still always droop and look listless? At the time I thought it was time to change the soil, but when I changed the soil, I found that there was only a layer of soil less than 6 cm thick on top of the pot, and below it was all broken foam from packing boxes. So, when buying flowers, if the pot feels very light, it is best not to buy it. There is definitely something else underneath, because in the city flower soil is especially hard to find. To save costs, many sellers put all sorts of junk into the pot to replace flower soil. If flowers like this are bought and not repotted in time, they are very likely to dehydrate and die.
