Choose a sunny day for Sedum pachyphyllum leaf cuttings.
(1). Prepare the growing medium. You can use a mix of 1 part peat, 1 part gravel and 1 part perlite. It needs to be sterilized to avoid bacterial infection; you can put it in the sun to sterilize it by exposure. If you find mixing your own troublesome, you can buy special growing medium from the market, which is also very convenient.
(2). For cuttings we can use the leaf cutting method. Choose mature, plump and healthy leaves for leaf cuttings. When removing the leaves, be careful not to damage them, especially the growth point. After removal, they need to be placed in a cool place to let the wounds dry.
(3). After the soil and leaves are prepared, simply lay the leaves flat on the growing medium.
(4). During the period when the leaves are rooting, they need to be placed in a cool and ventilated place. Water to keep the soil moist, watering from the edge of the pot. Never sprinkle water on the leaves, as this easily makes them turn to water and rot.
(5). Generally they root in about 2 weeks. In spring and autumn, they generally root in about 15. In summer and winter it takes longer.
