What to do when the leaves of pennywort turn yellow? One little trick makes the leaves green, round and big

Pennywort (Hydrocotyle vulgaris) stays evergreen all year round, with round and smooth leaves and strong ornamental value. Many people like it, and because of its name, it is also very popular.
When caring for pennywort, I wonder if other flower lovers have had the same situation as me: the leaves of the pennywort turn more and more yellow the longer you grow it, which looks very unsightly. Later I asked a gardening expert, who taught me a little trick. Once you master it, the leaves stay green instead of yellow, and are both round and big. Below I share it with everyone!
First point: pennywort should be placed in a sunny spot
Pennywort loves it very much, and only when it is placed in a place with sufficient sunlight for a long time can its leaves carry out photosynthesis well, synthesize more chlorophyll, and become more and more emerald green without turning yellow. If it is placed in a dark place without light for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow and wither, and over time all of them will die.
Moreover, my family's pennywort fell into exactly this trap. It had always been placed in a dark place, so a few yellow leaves always appeared, which was very unsightly. If your pennywort is also placed in a dark place and yellow leaves appear, move it to a sunny spot right away.
Second point: for hydroponic pennywort, clean the container promptly
Growing pennywort hydroponically is very simple. As long as sufficient water is ensured and the roots are soaked in water, it can survive. But do not overlook this point: whether the growing container is clean and hygienic. Generally it should be washed once every 3 to 4 days, otherwise its bottom will turn black, and over time the roots will rot and yellow leaves will also appear.
So, if the pennywort at home has yellow leaves, you can also check whether the growing container at home has been contaminated and whether it is time to wash it.
Third point: although pennywort is easy to grow, nutrients must also be supplemented in good time
Pennywort is very easy to grow, but during its growth and development it cannot do without nutrients either. If it lacks nutrients for a long time, the leaves will also turn yellow instead of green, and the leaves will become smaller and smaller, not round or smooth, uneven, and very unsightly. So you can ferment some rice-washing water and drip in one to two drops every seven days to supplement nutrients; the leaves will be green instead of yellow, and every one of them round and big.
Therefore, if the pennywort at home has yellow leaves, look for the cause in these three points, match them up accordingly, and it can gradually improve.
