Whether a flowering plant has root rot can be judged with just one look at the leaves

When growing flowers, root rot is the biggest fear. It's fair to say that as long as there's no root rot, all other problems are actually easy to solve! Today Chengcheng will teach everyone how to judge whether the flowers you grow at home have a root rot problem!
1. Look at the leaves
Everyone remember: when a plant's root system has a problem, it will show on the leaves right away, because the leaves absorb water and nutrients, and they all rely on the root system to transport them upward. Once the root system has a problem, this channel for transporting nutrients gets blocked, the nutrients can't be sent up, and then the leaves will change!
So, in everyday care, if you find that the leaves of a certain potted flower are wilting overall, drooping, lacking luster, or even dropping in large numbers, that means this flower has already developed root rot, and we need to dig it out and take a look right away!
2. Look at the potting soil
After a plant's root system develops a problem, besides showing on the leaves, it also has a direct reaction in the potting soil!
When we normally water the flowers, we can pay attention and observe, because after the potting soil dries out completely, the leaves of this flower will become slightly wilted. Generally, after watering, two or three hours later, the leaves will become firm and perky again!
If, after we water, one day later, the leaves are still wilted and lacking energy, this proves that the root system of this flower has 100% developed a problem!
In short, if the roots of the flowers we grow have a problem, the branches and leaves of this flower will definitely react in some way. This is the same principle as diagnosis in traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes "observation, listening, questioning, and pulse-taking" in diagnosis. The reason "observation" is placed first is that no matter what illness one has, it actually shows first in one's complexion!
So, during our usual care process, we must observe frequently. Even if root rot occurs, we shouldn't panic. As long as it's discovered early and the root rot isn't very serious, it can generally still be saved!
