Do you also love growing flowers, but always end up killing them!
Don't worry, after reading this article your flower-growing skills will quickly level up. After saving it, you can also take it out from time to time to brush up on your knowledge.
1. Anthurium
Anthurium likes a warm, humid, semi-shaded environment and avoids direct sunlight. In spring and autumn, generally apply liquid fertilizer once every 3 days; if the temperature is high, depending on whether the potting medium is dry or wet, apply liquid fertilizer once every 2-3 days; in summer, apply liquid fertilizer once every 2 days, and when the temperature is high, add one extra watering; in winter, generally apply liquid fertilizer once every 5-7 days.
2. Begonia
Begonia likes moisture but is afraid of being too wet, therefore, during cultivation you should always pay attention to maintaining it, and water reasonably according to the different climate characteristics of the four seasons. In spring, water once every 2 days; in summer, water once every 3-5 days; in autumn, water every day; in winter, reduce watering until the soil becomes dry, white, and hard before watering again.
3. Kalanchoe
Kalanchoe needs controlled watering when it is flowering. It is itself a drought-tolerant plant, and in daily watering we all follow the method of not watering until dry, and this is especially true during the flowering period.
4. Camellia
Water more in spring, summer, autumn and when flowering, and control water in winter。
5. Dracaena fragrans
Spray it with water 2-3 times every day, spray once a week with a 0.1% ammonium sulfate or potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution, and sometimes move it outdoors to receive the morning sun.
6. Aglaia odorata
In summer, Aglaia odorata can be watered 1-2 times a day, and in spring and autumn generally once every 7 days is enough, but if the temperature is relatively high, the watering interval can be appropriately shortened.
7. Strelitzia
Strelitzia likes a warm, humid, sunny environment, fears severe cold, and avoids intense heat, drought, and waterlogging. It requires loose, fertile sandy loam with good drainage and a pH of 6-7. The suitable temperature during the growing period is 20-28°C.
8. Clerodendrum thomsoniae
Likes warmth and humidity, not cold-tolerant; likes sufficient sunlight, fears direct strong light; likes fertile, well-drained, breathable humus soil.
9. Serissa
Likes a warm climate, and can also somewhat tolerate cold and drought. Likes well-drained, fertile, and moist loose soil, has low requirements for the environment and strong growth vigor.Grows by rivers and streams or in mixed woods on hills.
10. Epiphyllum
If placed in scattered light with a temperature between 5-10°C, it can go a month without watering.
11. Jasmine
Likes a hot, humid, sunny environment, is not shade-tolerant, not cold-tolerant, and not drought-tolerant; grows well at temperatures of 25-30 degrees, and below 4 degrees it begins to suffer cold damage, with leaves dropping and even death, likes loose, fertile, well-drained soil containing organic matter.
12. Haworthia fasciata
During the growing period, Haworthia fasciata only needs the potting soil kept moist; during the semi-dormant periods in winter and midsummer, it should be dry, with watering strictly controlled; if the potting soil is too wet in winter, it easily causes root rot and leaf shrinkage.
13. Epiphyllum oxypetalum
Likes a warm, humid, and semi-shaded environment, is relatively drought-tolerant but not cold-tolerant, fears direct strong light, avoids water accumulation, and requires well-drained, loose, fertile soil. Epiphyllum oxypetalum generally blooms at night when it gets dark at 19-20 o'clock, and each flower has a flowering period of about two hours. If you want it to bloom during the day, you can change the light, namely:in the few days before the buds are about to open, place it in a dark place during the day, and use light to illuminate it at night.
14. Michelia figo
Likes warmth and humidity, belongs to the semi-shade flowers, and requires good ventilation and appropriate shading. When air humidity is high, the leaves are deep green and smooth. Not drought-tolerant, avoids exposure to scorching sun, otherwise the leaves easily turn yellow.Likes fertilizer and water but fears waterlogging, is not very cold-tolerant, and likes fertile, loose, slightly acidic sandy soil.
15. Hibiscus
During the growth period of hibiscus, the soil moisture must be maintained at all times, so that the stems and leaves can grow quickly,if watering is not timely, its leaves will show signs of shrinking, then gradually turn yellow, and finally cause all the leaves to drop, so we must ensure watering once a day.
16. Gardenia
First of all, be clear about what water to use; rainwater is best, and if there is no rainwater, use tap water. When watering, you can add a little vinegar or citric acid to enhance the acidity of the soil. When watering, the water temperature must also be strictly controlled; the water temperature should be close to room temperature, and do not use very cold or hot water, when using it, let it sit for a period of time, and use it only after the temperature is close to room temperature.
17. Hoya
In summer, watering is usually done by misting at 7 in the morning, then after 10 o'clock open the window for ventilation (note: do not water again at this time), and at 4 in the afternoon close the window. Next you can begin watering; first wet the surrounding environment, then water into the flowerpot. The winter watering steps are roughly the same: mist at around 8 in the morning, then let the hoya fully enjoy the morning sun, and at around 11 noon, open the window for ventilation.
18. Freesia
Freesia has relatively strict water requirements, that is, it fears moisture but is not drought-tolerant. Too much soil water content easily causes root rot; if the soil lacks water, growth is hindered and the leaves lose their luster.
19. African Violet
The potting soil of violets must not be too dry or too wet, and when watering, do not pour it on the leaves, otherwise yellow spots or rotten leaves will appear on the leaf surface. Likes warmth, is not cold-tolerant, and is not tolerant of high temperatures; in summer avoid direct sunlight, and the overwintering temperature must be kept above 12 degrees; likes fertile, loose, well-drained, slightly acidic sandy soil.
20. Chinese Rose
Chinese rose has strong adaptability to the environment and likes warmth; it grows best at an average temperature of 22-25 degrees. Chinese rose is not strict about soil, but grows vigorously in fertile, loose, and slightly acidic soil. During the growing period, sunlight must be sufficient, otherwise the plant will be weak, the leaves will turn yellow, and the flowers will be small and off-color.
