Nowadays people have better living conditions and pay more and more attention to their spiritual life. For example, some focus on health preservation, some on fitness, and of course many people have also taken up growing flowers, and lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) is a foliage plant that many flower lovers like. Because its leaves and stems are like bamboo, it is called lucky bamboo. It has an auspicious meaning, symbolizing wealth and peace, and its plant shape is elegant. Whether kept in the living room, bedroom or study, it is very suitable, and it is especially suited to water culture, clean and elegant. Although lucky bamboo is loved by many flower lovers, many people still cannot grow it well. For this reason, today Xiaohua will share a small method for growing lucky bamboo. Let us take a look at today's topic!
Use "it" to grow anything and it will "root" quickly. After lucky bamboo takes it, its roots will fill the vase and it can bloom big white flowers

Its sap is a treasure; grow anything with it and it will root quickly
What exactly is "it" then?
It is actually the sap of willow branches. So why can the sap of willow branches make flowers root quickly?
Let's follow Xiaohua and take a look at its principle!
I believe many people know that willow is a plant that is especially easy to keep alive. No matter what kind of soil or climate it is in, it can root quickly. You can just casually cut a section of its branch and stick it into the soil and it will live, rooting and sprouting very quickly. Later, scientific analysis showed that this is because willow sap contains substances called "salicylic acid" and "aspirin." Salicylic acid is a plant growth hormone that can promote plants to root and sprout as quickly as possible, and aspirin has an antiseptic effect. So using it to promote rooting can not only make potted plants root and sprout quickly, but also prevent root rot.

After lucky bamboo uses it, its roots will fill the vase
After buying lucky bamboo and bringing it home, we can cut its lower part diagonally at 45 degrees, and then use willow sap to promote rooting. It is really super fast. So how do we use it?
We only need to break off a few branches of current-year willow when we go to the park, remove the leaves, smash the bark, then cut them into sections, and soak them in clean water. After 2-3 days, we can take the water to grow lucky bamboo. Be sure to filter out impurities. After soaking the lucky bamboo in the water infused with willow sap for 3-4 days, you can see the lucky bamboo grow white roots.
Then take it out and maintain it normally with water. This way, the lucky bamboo's roots grow quickly, are numerous and strong, and new leaves also grow quickly, glossy green.

Water it once every 10 days and it will bloom all over with big white flowers
If we first grow lucky bamboo in water to root it, then switch to soil culture, and water it about once every 10 days with water soaked with willow branches, then the lucky bamboo can grow especially strong. If we can also give it sufficient nutrients, then after 2-3 years of care, the lucky bamboo will bloom all over with big white flowers, fragrant and beautiful, and when lucky bamboo blooms, it symbolizes continuous good luck.

Notes for everyday care of lucky bamboo:
Light
If you want lucky bamboo to grow well, the light must be moderate. Lucky bamboo does not like strong light. For home care, we can place it in a place with diffused light and good ventilation, and it must not be exposed to direct sun. Also, it cannot be placed next to a TV or air conditioner, as this will make its leaves turn yellow.
Watering
For water-cultured lucky bamboo, flower lovers are advised to change the water once every 7 days, but it cannot be changed completely. You can change half and keep half. Tap water needs to be left to stand for 2-3 days before use.
For soil culture, the potting soil needs to be kept moist, watering once every 5-10 days, and this should change according to seasonal changes. There must be no standing water in the pot.
Fertilizing
Whether water-cultured or soil-cultured, fertilization is needed. Clean water cannot grow lucky bamboo well. Even if clean water culture can grow new leaves, they will be yellow and thin, so we need to fertilize it. Flower lovers are advised to buy special nutrient solution for lucky bamboo at a flower shop and use it according to the instructions.
