How do succulents get through the autumn tiger? Just do these five things and you're fine

As summer ends, many friends can finally breathe a sigh of relief. But did you know that after the Start of Autumn there is still an "autumn tiger"? The arrival of the autumn tiger brings muggy weather, so succulent lovers must be careful!
For succulents, different seasons bring different care needs. Many people's succulents make it through the hot midsummer, only to die in early autumn! In a season like this, are you succulent lovers ready?
1
Light
In summer many people put up shade netting, and the succulents spent one or two months in the shade. During this time, the succulents have already adapted to an environment without direct sunlight. If the shade netting is suddenly removed, and the autumn sun is not as gentle as we imagine, sunburn can easily occur.
I suggest removing the shade netting gradually, for example by gradually reducing the time the shade netting is used each day, or by only putting it up when the sun is strongest at noon.
2
Water
Because the autumn tiger's sunlight is too intense, succulents can easily get sunburned or scorched. When watering succulents, pay attention to one thing: do not let water droplets splash onto the leaves. The remaining moisture plus strong sunlight is very harmful to succulents. Remember not to water around noon or when the temperature is too high, to avoid rot caused by sudden temperature changes.
Many people restrict water or even cut off water for their succulents in summer, while others water normally; everyone has their own method. For those who restrict or cut off water, after the weather turns cool, it is best not to water thoroughly right away for the first one or two waterings. The amount of water should be restored gradually, giving the succulent roots a period to adapt, so as to reduce the chance of turning to mush.
3
Pests
If your succulents have a pest problem, you need to spray them with pesticide. Remember, do not spray during the day, because the chemical effect of the pesticide is stronger in sunlight and can easily damage the leaves. Pay attention to the concentration, and it is recommended to spray at night when it is cool and well ventilated.
4
Pots
Although the Start of Autumn has passed, the weather is still muggy and humid. It is better to wait until the daily high temperature stays steadily below 30°C before repotting and changing the soil. You can also take the opportunity to trim the roots, let them dry, and then plant them. Combined with reasonable watering and soil mix, this can give the succulents a good foundation.
Actually, succulents do not necessarily need new soil and a new pot every year. If they are growing well and you are satisfied in every way, then there is no need to change. If the pot is too small, or the roots have not grown well, or you dislike how the pot looks, then consider repotting.
5
Fertilizer
In autumn, most succulents enter their growing season. To make succulents grow better, some people prepare to fertilize them. But note that if the fertilizer concentration is too high and the temperature is too high, fertilizer burn can easily occur.
If you are preparing to fertilize your succulents, be sure to dilute the concentration as much as possible or use a slow-release fertilizer. However, it is still best to wait until after the autumn tiger before starting to fertilize.
