Give your houseplants a drink now and their roots will grow thick and strong with even more blooms

The cool autumn is finally about to arrive, and I wonder if you plant lovers are as happy as Huahua is! During the previous days of blazing sun, not only were people uncomfortable, but even some of our beloved plants at home entered a dormant period with no sign of growth. Now that the weather is gradually cooling, the plants are all starting to return to a state of accelerated growth!
Flowers like Chinese roses and Christmas cacti, which are in their growing season in autumn, need enough nutrients to support them at this time. There are many homemade dilute liquid fertilizers that can come in handy. Below, Huahua will introduce a few simple and easy-to-make "growth-boosting drinks"!
1. Soybean water
Soybean water has long been a great helper for many plant lovers when growing flowers. Not only are the raw materials simple and easy to obtain, but the process is also quite convenient. First, soak the soybeans in warm water for about 3 hours. Once you see the skins of the soybeans wrinkle, you can take them out. Next, boil them soft in a pot. First bring them to a boil over high heat, then simmer slowly over low heat. Soybeans boiled this way will be very easy to mash.
Pour the mashed soybeans together with the water into a container that can be sealed tightly. Remember not to fill it too full, because gas will be produced during fermentation. Once the soybean water is prepared, we can put it in a cool place and slowly wait for it to ferment. After about 30 days, the soybean water that can nourish and protect your plants is ready. If you are worried about an unpleasant smell during fermentation, you can also add a little white sugar and orange peel to remove the odor. After the prepared soybean water is diluted with more water, it can be used to water the plants, once every half month, and the effect will be obvious.
2. Rice washing water
I believe you all already know the uses of rice washing water without Huahua having to say much. Compared with soybean water, the production process of rice washing water is even simpler. After rinsing the rice, the rice washing water can be kept for fermentation.
The fermentation process is exactly the same as the method for soybean water. Do not be lazy and use unfermented rice washing water directly to water the plants, as this may burn the roots and produce the opposite effect. In summer, rice washing water only needs about 10 days to ferment, while at other times of the year about three weeks is enough. When watering, remember to water only the roots and do not splash it on the leaves. Using fermented rice washing water to water plants can not only protect the roots but also make the leaves more glossy!
3. Willow branch water
Willow branches are something you can find everywhere now. Because the nutrients they contain can greatly help flowers grow, they have gradually become a favorite of many plant growers. To make willow branch water, first cut the collected willow branches into small pieces about 10 cm long, as this will speed up fermentation.
The next step is to put the prepared willow branches into a container for fermentation. Its fermentation time is relatively short, about one week is enough. After fermentation, the willow branch water is diluted before use, and it truly lives up to its name as "root-growing water."
Take advantage of the time now to make some root-growing "drink" and then give it to your plants to "drink." I believe the plants of you plant lovers will all grow more and more luxuriant, and the leaves will become more and more glossy!
