The hot summer is about to pass, and autumn, a good time for growing flowers, is coming. I believe many flower lovers are getting ready to switch in a new batch of plants. This past summer, far too many flowers died. Today, Mom Qiu wants to recommend some very easy-to-care-for flowers and plants that don't need much effort and actually do better the more you neglect them. Come take a look and see if there's one you like.

1. Portulacaria afra (elephant bush)

One of my favorite varieties this autumn, as easy to grow as succulents, with vigorous vitality. When the temperature difference is large, you can grow it into a pink, girlishly cute plant; when the temperature difference is small and light is insufficient, it turns jade-green and lush. Either way, you'll love it. It's one of the varieties very much worth getting this autumn. To grow it well, just remember: control your hands, water less, water thoroughly only after the soil dries out, and ideally don't let it get rained on.

2. Aloe

Mom Qiu recommends every household keep a pot of aloe. In terms of looks, it may not surpass other varieties, but in terms of practical value, it is absolutely outstanding: it can absorb formaldehyde, treat burns, soothe mosquito and insect bites, and even help with beauty and skincare. To grow aloe well, remember: plenty of light, don't water the center of the leaves or they'll easily rot, and in winter bring it indoors or it will get frostbitten.

3. Desert rose

Desert rose (Adenium obesum) can be grown as a small bonsai, with a distinctive shape and brilliant blooms. It is very drought-tolerant and heat-tolerant. To grow it well, you only need to place it somewhere at home with plenty of light. Of course, don't water it too often; water thoroughly only after the soil dries out.

4. Kalanchoe blossfeldiana (flaming Katy)

Every time I recommend easy-to-grow flowers and plants to flower lovers, I can't help but recommend Kalanchoe blossfeldiana. With so many varieties, rich colors, drought tolerance, a long blooming period, and high ornamental value, how could you not like it? Kalanchoe basically blooms all year round. It likes light and is fairly drought-tolerant. Some flower lovers report that their kalanchoe blooms once and then never again. Why? Check whether you pruned it promptly after flowering and supplemented with fertilizer. If you do these two things well, your kalanchoe will basically keep blooming without pause.

Do you all like these flowers? If you do, share them with more flower lovers, and you're also welcome to leave a comment sharing the easy-to-grow flowers you've kept, so more flower lovers can grow beautiful flowers together!
