Roses are known as "monthly red," which is already famous, so roses blooming 10 times a year is not just Huahua bragging - it comes from good care. Today let's summarize the rose blooming secrets shared by gardeners everywhere!

Choosing the right variety comes first

Not every kind of rose can bloom 10 times a year. Some bloom for only half a year, and some produce only 3-4 flushes of flowers. First, let's talk about whether the very popular European roses can bloom every month.

The answer is yes, but European roses have particular requirements for their growing environment. It is best to make it similar to their original growing environment, otherwise they may easily fail to bloom in summer, or the flowers produced may not have a particularly attractive shape.

In addition, rose varieties such as Creamy Longsha, Canary, Kui, Dragon Fruit, Grape Iceberg, Red Longsha Gem, Monet, Pompon Veranda, Apricot Terrace, and Pink Makeup Tower are also very free-flowering. Their flowering period can last more than half a year, and reaching 10 blooms is also achievable.

Care methods cannot be ignored either

Topdressing

For roses to bloom, they must develop flower buds. Just like a woman becoming pregnant, this consumes a relatively large amount of nutrients. If nutrients are not replenished in time, the plant will draw on its own nutrients when forming flower buds, and gradually the plant will tend to become weak and thin. If you want it to continue blooming next time, it becomes a bit difficult.

So every week, give the roses enough nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, humic acid, and other nutrients. The purpose is to ensure the nutrients needed for bud formation and blooming, strengthen the plant's vitality, and build up nutrient reserves for each blooming cycle.

Pruning

Any gardener who has grown roses knows that pruning can promote flower buds, but pruning must also be done in moderation. Usually, it is best not to prune during the seedling stage unless there are pests or yellow leaves, because seedlings themselves are relatively weak. After branches and leaves are pruned away, the plant's transpiration becomes weaker, and its vitality also becomes somewhat weaker.

Generally, once it has grown to about 30 cm, you can appropriately pinch off the top, cutting off the branch with the top 4 leaves, to stimulate the growth of side buds. When it grows to 7-8 leaves, you can continue pinching off the top in the same way, so the plant can become fuller.

Temperature control

The suitable temperature for rose growth is around 10-30°C, so we should appropriately control the temperature by artificial means, giving the roses a good growing environment so they can better form flower buds and produce bright, beautiful flowers.

In summer, not only should you mist the leaves and the plant, but you should also spray more water into the air, and then use a spray bottle to spray the walls of the flowerpot. In winter, if the temperature is below 10°C and there is a possibility of continued cooling, we can cover the roses with a layer of straw to provide insulation. When necessary, prune heavily, keeping them in a bare-stem state, to prepare for blooming the following year.

Pest prevention

Roses getting insects and diseases is a fairly common thing, so during care, prevention is greater than treatment. In the usual process of caring for roses, we can prepare some acetamiprid to kill insects, azoxystrobin to kill fungi, bifenazate to kill red spider mites, and so on. Dilute with water about 1000 times; this can both kill insects and prevent them.

In short, growing roses requires patience and care, and then choosing good varieties. Achieving 10 blooms a year is not difficult.
