Friends often ask me, will someone who has separated from you ever come back?
In fact, everyone who asks this question already has a clear answer in their heart, they just aren't willing to face it.
It's like a coat you really love; a few buttons have fallen off, and you can't wear it out the door. Maybe one day you find the lost buttons, but by then it's already summer, and the coat is out of season.
The person you loved is like that old piece of clothing. Maybe you wore it for a long time, washed it until it faded and looked worn, and you don't want to throw it away, but you also know you won't wear it out the door again. Better to fold it up and put it on the top shelf of the wardrobe, and when you've sorted out your feelings someday, throw it away together with the other old things.
There's no need to force yourself to forget, and no need to deliberately pretend. Cry if you want to cry, laugh if you want to laugh.
One day time will smooth away these wounds bit by bit, and you will become a stronger version of yourself.
You have to believe that time can heal everything, so please give time a little time.
