A couple of days ago, a gardening friend sent Huahua a photo. The snake plant (Sansevieria) at home had such vigorous roots that it actually burst the plastic flower pot open! In fact, it's not just snake plants - other flowers are the same. Only when the roots grow strong can the leaves be greener and the flowers more vibrant! So today, Huahua is going to teach everyone how to make your flowers' roots burst the pot!

Give the snake plant some cooked soybeans, and the roots will immediately burst the pot!

Look at other people's snake plants - the long roots have already cracked the plastic flower pot open. Aren't you super envious? Then hurry up and see how they raise the snake plant's roots until they burst the pot!

How to do it:

1. If you want the snake plant to quickly fill the pot, you can add some cooked soybeans. It's best to use moldy, shriveled soybeans. If they're plump and still edible, then don't use them - what a waste!

2. Put the moldy soybeans in clean water and boil them until they're soft enough to mash with a press of chopsticks, then scoop them out and let them dry.

3. Away from the snake plant's roots, poke 3-5 small holes along the edge of the pot, bury the cooked soybeans directly in the snake plant's pot, then cover lightly with soil. Cooked soybeans contain plenty of nitrogen fertilizer. Once the snake plant absorbs the nitrogen fertilizer, the roots will grow stronger and stronger, and soon they'll burst the pot open!

Give the pothos some urea, and the roots will go wild and crack the pot!

Huahua always thought that pothos roots were so thin and small - how could they possibly burst a pot? Until later, when Huahua saw someone else's pothos roots, Huahua was truly stunned!

How to do it?

1. If you have urea at home, especially agricultural urea, it's very rich in nitrogen fertilizer and is very suitable for foliage plants like pothos.

2. Poke 2-4 holes along the edge of the pothos pot, then sprinkle in 3-5 granules of urea. When watering, let the urea dissolve and seep into the soil with the water, or mix the urea with water at a 1:1000 ratio, dilute it, and water the pothos soil with it. This will supplement nutrients for the pothos and make its roots grow more and more!

Give the clivia some peanuts and sunflower seeds, and the roots will grow full of big fat worms!

The first time Huahua repotted the clivia (Clivia) at home, Huahua was simply scared! The clivia's roots were all tangled together, just like big fat worms - so shocking!

Mix a handful of peanuts and sunflower seeds into the bottom of the pot, and the roots will come gushing out!

1. Clivia especially loves oil crops. When repotting clivia, you can grab a handful of peanuts and sunflower seeds and toss them into the bottom of the pot. Note that it's best to use plain-flavored peanuts and sunflower seeds; don't use the salty or sweet ones.

2. After placing the peanuts and sunflower seeds at the bottom of the pot, cover them with a thick layer of soil, then pot the clivia. Note that the clivia's roots must not directly touch the peanuts and sunflower seeds, to prevent root burn.

3. Peanuts and sunflower seeds are both oil crops. After using them for clivia, the roots will grow rapidly and quickly fill the entire pot!

Give the money tree some slow-release fertilizer, and the roots will be covered in little gourds!

Huahua has a really big money tree (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) at home. A couple of days ago when repotting it, Huahua discovered that the money tree's roots had grown lots of little gourds. Huahua heard people say that this means it's being raised well!

How to do it?

1. You can buy a bottle of slow-release fertilizer at the supermarket and sprinkle it directly on the surface of the money tree's pot. When watering the money tree, the slow-release fertilizer will seep into the potting soil with the water, thereby supplementing nutrients and making the roots grow stronger and stronger!

2. If you can't buy slow-release fertilizer, agricultural compound fertilizer also works! Dig a hole along the edge of the money tree's pot, bury 2-4 granules of compound fertilizer, and it can also supplement nutrients for the money tree, making it grow gourd roots twice as fast!

Give the spider plant some bone meal, and the radish roots will burst the pot!

Every time Huahua sees other people's spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) with thick, sturdy radish roots, Huahua is so envious. Until later, Huahua got a secret recipe from an old gardener - actually, spider plant radish roots are very easy to grow, you just need to feed it some bone meal!

How to do it?

1. If you have leftover bone scraps from meals at home, it's best to add clean water and boil them to remove the salt, then dry them in the sun, or dry them directly in the microwave.

2. Crush the bone meal with wood, or blend it into powder in a blender. Dig a hole along the edge of the spider plant's pot and bury 2-3 spoonfuls. Let the bone meal's nutrients seep into the soil with water, thereby supplementing nutrients for the roots!

3. Don't throw away the leftover rice-washing water at home either. Put it in a bottle to ferment, then dilute with water at 1:20 and pour it directly into the potting soil. This can also supplement nutrients for the spider plant and make its radish roots thicker and sturdier!

Give the orchid some pine needles, and the orchid roots will be white and strong!

Growing orchids is a technical job, so basically anyone who can grow orchids well is a master, not to mention growing orchid roots that are white and strong and look as thick as ham!

How to do it?

1. If you want to grow orchid roots well, first you must ensure the potting soil is loose and breathable. So we can mix some pine needles into the orchid pot. Usually, go under a big tree and push aside the surface layer of pine needles - the darker part underneath is the already decomposed pine needles!

2. Soak the pine needles you picked up in carbendazim for disinfection, then mix them with leaf mold, add some charcoal or river sand, and it becomes loose, breathable nutrient soil. When repotting the orchid in autumn, just use the prepared pine needle soil directly. The soil is loose and breathable, so the orchid won't get root rot!

That's all Huahua is introducing today!

After seeing so many radish roots,

aren't you all super envious?

Why not hurry up and try Huahua's methods!
