Every time we post a picture of an expert's plant overflowing its pot with new shoots, some flower lovers complain that we're just showing off and making them jealous. Many say their own plants are like a single person all alone, not a single baby shoot to be seen! Don't worry, we're here to teach you a few tricks - guaranteed your plant will produce 10 babies a year!

Give a cactus ball a ruthless chop, and baby shoots come pouring out!

A neighbor's cactus ball had been growing for years as a lone big ball that never produced babies. We gave her a tip, and from then on the baby shoots kept coming nonstop!

1. Prepare a sharp large knife, ideally a kitchen cleaver, and soak it in a carbendazim solution for a while to disinfect it.

2. Use the knife to cut off the top half of the cactus ball horizontally; the part you remove should be about 1/3-1/2 of the cactus ball.

3. Put the cactus ball in a cool, ventilated place to dry for two days. You can smear some carbendazim powder on the cut surface of the base, and some rooting powder on the cut surface of the top part.

4. After it dries, place it in a spot with plenty of light and care for it as usual, being careful that the cut surface does not come into contact with water. After about 1-2 months, small balls will gradually grow out from the edges of the cut surface.

5. Repot the cut-off top part, or place it on a cup filled with clean water to induce roots. Once white roots grow, pot it up, and you've gained another cactus ball!

Bend a rose down low, and the new shoots won't stop coming!

Many flower lovers saw our earlier recommendation and rushed to buy rose seedlings. But the rose you just received looks like a bare commander with not a single leaf - really not pretty! Considerate us is here with a tip!

1. Horizontal pulling is the best way to make a bare rose produce new shoots; just bend the rose down to 90° and it will stimulate new shoot growth.

2. When horizontal pulling, you can tie a stone to one end of a string and tie the other end to the rose branch you want to pull down, keeping the rose at a 90° angle.

3. Horizontal pulling will make the rose lose its apical dominance, and the base will keep producing new shoots nonstop!

4. Some flower lovers' roses grow very unevenly - one side full of branches while the other side is completely bare. In this case, you can consider the side-pot method.

5. Tilt the rose 45° toward the side with more branches, with the side with fewer branches facing up.

6. This way, the side with fewer branches will develop apical dominance and burst out quite a few small shoots, and the overall shape of the rose will become fuller.

7. Whether you use horizontal pulling or the side-pot method, quite a few small shoots will sprout, but it's recommended to remove some of them and keep a few of the thicker ones to reduce nutrient consumption.

Chop the head off a succulent, and the stem will burst with babies!

After a summer of shading, has your succulent grown leggy and gone wild? Although leggy growth can gradually develop into an old stump, many flower lovers still prefer short and chubby succulents. We're here to teach you the rescue method!

1. The quickest and most effective way to rescue a succulent that has lost its beauty is to behead it.

2. Prepare a sharp small knife. After disinfecting it, cut off the head of the succulent. The length of stem you keep depends on your own preference. After cutting, put the succulent in a cool, ventilated place to dry, and do not water it for now.

3. The weather is fairly cool now. After 2 weeks, you'll find quite a few small shoots sprouting from the succulent's stem.

4. After the cut-off head dries, you can repot it, or twist off the leaves for leaf propagation.

5. If you do leaf propagation now, small shoots will grow quite quickly too. Give a succulent a beheading, and you'll gain a whole bunch of babies.
