Flowers and pots seem, on the surface, to grow interdependently, but in fact each is straining hard! The flower wants to escape the pot's bondage, while the pot of course wants to embrace the flower forever! So the flower will try every possible way to break free. Let me teach you a little method: before long, it will burst out small shoots like crazy, and even split the pot open!

First, let me show you a picture to get you excited! Actually, sometimes bursting the pot is not such a good thing. But a pot-bursting display like the one in the picture is something every plant lover would envy, right!

Method:

Everyone loves drinking soy milk every morning, so households inevitably keep some soybeans around. Occasionally some go bad, moldy or shriveled. Do not just throw them away; they are perfect for feeding to a snake plant.

Soak the moldy soybeans in water, boil them until they can be crushed with a press. Then scoop them out and drain the water.

Dig a hole at the edge of the flower pot, a little away from the root system, put the soybeans directly in, and cover with soil. All done!

Soybeans contain rich nitrogen fertilizer. As the soybeans gradually ferment and decompose in the soil, once the snake plant absorbs them, the root system will grow more and more vigorously. I dare say it will burst the pot.

Care after the pot bursts

The pot is already cracked, so hurry and repot it! Based on the original flower pot size, switch to a larger, sturdier one.

The soil should be slightly moist, ideally at the level where you can squeeze it into a ball by hand, but it crumbles apart with one pinch. In this way, after potting you can skip watering at first, wait a few days, and then water, which is good for root development.
