What to do about yellow leaves on pennywort? Master 3 points and the leaves will be lush green

Pennywort leaves are round and green, like a mini version of lotus leaves, very cute. Pennywort can be grown not only in soil but also in water, and when grown in water it is very easy to keep alive, making it perfect for lazy growers. However, some people's pennywort develops yellow leaves during the growing process. How exactly should you grow it to keep the leaves lush green?
Several reasons why water-grown pennywort turns yellow and how to deal with them:
1. Yellow leaves caused by unclean water in the container
Unclean water in the container causes the roots of pennywort to rot, which produces the symptom of yellow leaves.
Solution: Change the water regularly. The method is about once every two weeks in winter; about every 6 days in spring and autumn; and about every 4 days in summer. Remember to change two-thirds of the original water in the container each time.
2. Yellow leaf symptoms caused by insufficient nutrients
Insufficient nutrients cause malnutrition in pennywort, which leads to the yellowing of leaves.
Solution: After each water change, drip nutrient solution into the container according to the recommended amount, and shake it gently to distribute the nutrients evenly. This also increases the oxygen content in the water, which is beneficial to the growth of pennywort roots.
3. No sunlight exposure
Keeping it indoors for a long time, with poor ventilation and dim light, is not conducive to the photosynthesis of pennywort and the synthesis of chlorophyll, and yellow leaves will appear.
Solution: In winter, when there is a sunny day, you can move the pennywort outdoors in the morning to bask in the sun for one hour. This increases photosynthesis and also raises the water temperature, helping pennywort grow better in winter.
