What are the methods for growing passion fruit on a balcony?
1. Seedling raising
Cut a section of passion fruit vine or buy small seedlings online. After cutting the passion fruit vine into sections, soak them in rooting powder and insert them into pots to raise seedlings. Prepare the growing pot and set up a trellis, add enough base fertilizer in the pot, and move the raised seedlings into the growing pot.
2. Fertilizing
When the passion fruit has just been planted, you can apply some nitrogen fertilizer, which will help the leaves grow. If you want the passion fruit to bear more fruit, you need to fertilize; generally, applying a compound fertilizer once during its growing period is enough.
3. Precautions
Passion fruit grows very fast, so you need to set up a trellis well to guide its growth. During the flowering period of passion fruit, you can pollinate by hand. Passion fruit is afraid of waterlogging, so do not water too much; watering about once every 1 to 2 days is enough. In summer, choose to water in the morning or evening.
