Your cactus only grows one head? Make the tough cut and pups will pop out nonstop

Every time Huahua posts photos of expert growers' plants bursting with blooms and shoots, some gardening friends complain that Huahua is spreading temptation. Many gardeners say their own plants are like a single lonely dog, standing all alone, not a single pup in sight! Don't worry, Huahua will teach you a few methods that will guarantee your plant can produce 10 pups a year!
Make one tough cut on your cactus and pups will pop out nonstop!
My neighbor's cactus had been growing for several years, always a single lonely big ball, never producing pups. Huahua gave her a tip, and from then on pups kept popping out nonstop!
1. Prepare a sharp large knife, preferably a kitchen cleaver, and soak it in carbendazim solution for a while to disinfect.
2. Use the knife to cut off the top half of the cactus horizontally, removing about 1/3-1/2 of the cactus.
3. Place the cactus in a cool, ventilated spot to dry for two days. You can apply some carbendazim powder to the cut surface of the base, and some rooting powder to the cut surface of the top part.
4. After drying, place it in a spot with plenty of light for normal care, and make sure the cut surface does not come into contact with water. After about 1-2 months, small balls will gradually grow out from the edges of the cut surface.
5. Repot the cut-off top part, or place it on a cup filled with water to induce rooting. Once white roots grow, pot it up, and you'll have another cactus!
Bend your rose down and shoots will burst out nonstop!
Many gardening friends, after seeing Huahua's previous recommendations, rushed to buy rose seedlings. But the roses they just received look like a bare commander, truly not attractive! Thoughtful Huahua is here with a tip!
1. Horizontal bending is the best way to make a bare rose burst with shoots. Just bend the rose down to 90° and it will stimulate shoot growth.
2. When bending horizontally, you can tie a stone to one end of a string and tie the other end to the rose branch that needs bending, keeping the rose at a 90° angle.
3. Horizontal bending will make the rose lose its apical dominance, and the base will keep bursting with small shoots!
4. Some gardeners' roses grow very unevenly, with branches on one side and bare on the other. In this case, you can consider the side-pot method.
5. Tilt the rose 45° toward the side with more branches, with the side that has fewer branches facing up.
6. This way, the side with fewer branches will develop apical dominance, burst out quite a few small buds, and the overall shape of the rose will become fuller.
7. Whether using horizontal bending or the side-pot method, quite a few small buds will burst out. However, it is recommended to appropriately remove some of the small buds, keeping a few of the thicker ones to reduce nutrient consumption.
Cut the head off your succulent and the stem will burst with pups!
After a summer of shading, has your succulent grown leggy and become a little monster? Although leggy growth can gradually develop into an old stem, many gardening friends still prefer short and plump succulents. Huahua will teach you the rescue method!
1. The quickest and most effective way to rescue a succulent that has lost its beauty is beheading.
2. Prepare a sharp small knife. After disinfecting, cut off the head of the succulent. The length of stem to keep depends on your preference. After cutting, place the succulent in a cool, ventilated spot to dry, and do not water for now.
3. The weather is fairly cool now. After 2 weeks, you will find quite a few small buds sprouting from the succulent's stem.
4. After the cut-off head dries, you can repot it, or pull off the leaves for leaf propagation.
5. Doing leaf propagation now, small buds will grow quickly too. Give your succulent a beheading and you can harvest a bunch of pups.
