Choose these three for growing flowers in August; their bloom period lasts all the way to December, making them perfect for lazy gardeners

In this season, more than half of August has already passed, but the autumn tiger is still fierce. I believe most regions are under the scorching sun, and many flowers at home look listless. Flower lovers planning to get some new flowers do not know what to choose?
Recently, Qiu Ma visited a large local flower market (location: Chengdu). After several comparisons, she picked out some flowers that are suitable for care in this season and also have a long bloom period, to give flower lovers who like them a reference.
Because the light conditions at Qiu Ma's home are not especially good, the plants chosen tend to be ones that do not have a particularly strong demand for light and can still grow very well even with indirect light care.
1. Tillandsia
Why choose Tillandsia? Even when it is not blooming, it is beautiful and distinctive. The flowers are composed of opposite pink to pale purple bracts. The small flowers emerge from inside the bracts and are deep purplish red. The ornamental period lasts as long as 70-80 days.
Care points: keep it in a bright, indirectly lit place, and never expose it to strong sun. Keep the potting soil moderately moist, fertilize once every half month, and it is best to grow it in loose, breathable, well-draining leaf mold soil.
2. Kalanchoe blossfeldiana
Personally, I think Kalanchoe blossfeldiana is suitable for every flower-growing household. It belongs to the type of flower that can grow well even with free-range care, and with proper care it basically blooms all year round.
Care points: if you want Kalanchoe blossfeldiana to bloom frequently, you must prune it diligently after flowering, keep up with fertilizer, provide appropriate shade in summer, and maintain sufficient light in other seasons. Do not water when the potting soil is not dry, otherwise it is prone to root rot. When buying Kalanchoe blossfeldiana, I recommend choosing double-petaled varieties, as they will be a bit more beautiful.
3. Portulacaria afra
It belongs to a type of succulent plant and is relatively drought-tolerant. Its leaves can turn red and plump, which is especially cute. It is recommended for lazy people to care for.
Care points: ensure sufficient light. If you want Portulacaria afra to develop that pink and plump effect, you need to learn to control its temperature and artificially create conditions with a large temperature difference between day and night. You will find that its leaves become especially beautiful. When light is insufficient, it is very easy for all the leaves to turn green. After winter arrives, pay attention to cold protection. It should be noted that when watering Portulacaria afra, you must follow "do not water if not dry, and water thoroughly when you do."
The above three are all plants that are relatively easy to care for in this season. Do flower lovers like any of them? You are also welcome to leave comments and share the easy-to-grow plants you have cared for.
